If someone curses their father or mother, their lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness.

If anyone asks for bad things to happen to their father or mother, that person’s lamp will be blown out in total darkness.

「咒罵父母的，必被處死。

有一類人，詛咒父親，不給母親祝福。

因為壞人沒有前途，惡人的燈也必熄滅。

嘲笑父親、藐視而不聽從母親的，谷中的烏鴉必啄他的眼睛，小鷹也必吃它。

「『輕慢父母的，必受詛咒！』眾百姓要說：『阿們！』

愚拙的對聰明的說：『請分點油給我們，因為我們的燈要滅了。』

是海裏的狂浪，湧出自己可恥的沫子來；是流蕩的星，有漆黑的幽暗永遠為他們保留着。

「惡人的亮光必要熄滅，他的火焰必不照耀。他帳棚中的亮光要變黑暗，他上面的燈也必熄滅。

於是王對侍從說：『捆起他的手腳，把他扔在外邊的黑暗裏；在那裏他要哀哭切齒了。』

義人的光使人歡喜；惡人的燈要熄滅。

他必從光明中被驅逐到黑暗裏，他必被趕出世界。

「當孝敬父母，使你的日子在耶和華－你上帝所賜你的地上得以長久。

摩西說：『當孝敬父母』；又說：『咒罵父母的，必須處死。』你們倒說：『人若對父母說：我所當供奉你的已經作了各耳板』（各耳板就是奉獻的意思），你們就容許他不必再奉養父母。這就是你們藉着繼承傳統，廢了上帝的話。你們還做許多這樣的事。」
