The scorner seeks wisdom but finds none, but understanding is easy for a discerning person.

好讥笑人的寻找智慧，却寻不着；聪明人寻找知识，却轻易得着。

讥讽者寻求智慧却得不到；有悟性的人轻易得知识。

褻慢人尋智慧，卻尋不着；聰明人易得知識。

The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.

Those who make fun of others look for wisdom and don’t find it. But knowledge comes easily to those who understand what is right.

A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain, but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding.

A mocker seeks wisdom and never finds it, but knowledge comes easily to those with understanding.

A mocker seeks wisdom and doesn’t find it, but knowledge comes easily to the perceptive.

A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, But knowledge is easy for one who has understanding.

A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it, But knowledge is easy to him who understands.

A scoffer seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not; But knowledge is easy unto him that hath understanding.

A mocker seeks wisdom and doesn’t find it, but knowledge comes easily to the perceptive.

A scoffer seeks wisdom, and doesn’t find it, but knowledge comes easily to a discerning person.

He replied,“ You have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but they have not.For whoever has will be given more, and will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.

Wisdom is directly in front of the discerning person, but the eyes of a fool run to the ends of the earth.

At that time Jesus said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children.Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides to reveal him.

All of them are clear to the discerning and upright to those who find knowledge.

Above all, understand this: In the last days blatant scoffers will come, being propelled by their own evil urgesand saying,“ Where is his promised return? For ever since our ancestors died, all things have continued as they were from the beginning of creation.”For they deliberately suppress this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water.

Guard against self- deception, each of you. If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he can become wise.For the wisdom of this age is foolishness with God. As it is written,“ He catches the wise in their craftiness.”

Your wise men will be put to shame. They will be dumbfounded and be brought to judgment. Since they have rejected the word of the LORD, what wisdom do they really have?

Open my eyes so I can truly see the marvelous things in your law!

A fool takes no pleasure in understanding but only in disclosing what is on his mind.

Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for I am always aware of them.I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your rules.I am more discerning than those older than I, for I observe your precepts.

“ The eye is the lamp of the body. If then your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.But if your eye is diseased, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened.Although they claimed to be wise, they became foolsand exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image resembling mortal human beings or birds or four- footed animals or reptiles.Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves.They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged the natural sexual relations for unnatural ones,and likewise the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed in their passions for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done.

If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know to the degree that he needs to know.

but Israel even though pursuing a law of righteousness did not attain it.Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but( as if it were possible) by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Then you must recall the LORD’s instructions and the prophetic testimony of what would happen. Certainly they say such things because their minds are spiritually darkened.
