Whoever has respect for the Lord lives a good life. But those who hate him walk down an evil path.

Whoever fears the Lord walks uprightly, but those who despise him are devious in their ways.

Those who follow the right path fear the Lord; those who take the wrong path despise him.

Whoever lives with integrity fears the LORD, but the one who is devious in his ways despises him.

He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Jehovah; But he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.

It is better to be poor and live without blame than to be rich and follow a crooked path.

People will love themselves. They will love money. They will brag and be proud. They will tear others down. They will not obey their parents. They won’t be thankful or holy.They won’t love others. They won’t forgive others. They will tell lies about people. They will be out of control. They will be wild. They will hate what is good.

The men replied,“ We have come from Cornelius, the Roman commander. He is a good man who worships God. All the Jewish people respect him. A holy angel told him to invite you to his house. Then Cornelius can hear what you have to say.”

“ Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever does not accept you does not accept me. But whoever does not accept me does not accept the one who sent me.”

There was a man who lived in the land of Uz. His name was Job. He was honest. He did what was right. He had respect for God and avoided evil.

Solomon answered,“ You have been very kind to my father David, your servant. That’s because he was faithful to you. He did what was right. His heart was honest. And you have continued to be very kind to him. You have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

“ My friends laugh at me all the time, even though I called out to God and he answered. My friends laugh at me, even though I’m honest and right.

“ My covenant promised Levi life and peace. So I gave them to him. I required him to respect me. And he had great respect for my name.True teaching came from his mouth. Nothing but the truth came from his lips. He walked with me in peace. He did what was right. He turned many people away from their sins.

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. The church was strengthened and grew larger. That’s because they worshiped the Lord and the Holy Spirit helped them.

Their paths are crooked. Their ways are not straight.

The Pharisees loved money. They heard all that Jesus said and made fun of him.

Lord, have mercy on us. Have mercy on us, because people haven’t stopped making fun of us.We have had to put up with a lot from those who are proud. They were always laughing at us.

“ He accepts people from every nation. He accepts anyone who has respect for him and does what is right.

He said to human beings,“ Have respect for the Lord. That will prove you are wise. Avoid evil. That will show you have understanding.”

It is better to be poor and to live without blame than to be foolish and to twist words around.

Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who have respect for the Lord. They find great delight when they obey God’s commands.

May my honest and good life keep me safe. Lord, I have put my hope in you.

Whoever makes fun of their neighbor has no sense. But the one who has understanding controls their tongue.

The path of honest people takes them away from evil. Those who guard their ways guard their lives.

Do you disrespect God’s great kindness and favor? Do you disrespect God when he is patient with you? Don’t you realize that God’s kindness is meant to turn you away from your sins?But you are stubborn. In your heart you are not sorry for your sins. You are storing up anger against yourself. The day of God’s anger is coming. Then his way of judging fairly will be shown.

Everything has now been heard. And here’s the final thing I want to say. Have respect for God and obey his commandments. This is what he expects of all human beings.
