恶人必多遭祸患，耶和华的慈爱必环绕信靠祂的人。

蔑视训言，自招灭亡；敬畏诫命，必得赏赐。

要告诉义人：他们有福了，必得善报。恶人有祸了！他们必大祸临头，受到报应。

凡是恒心行善、寻求荣耀、尊贵和永恒福分的人，祂要把永生赐给他们；至于那些自私自利、违背真理、行为不义的人，祂的烈怒和怒气要降在他们身上。一切作恶之人必受患难和痛苦，先是犹太人，然后是希腊人。祂要将荣耀、尊贵和平安赐给一切行善的人，先是犹太人，然后是希腊人。

但如果你们不守承诺，就是得罪耶和华，必难逃惩罚。

如果你做得对，难道不会蒙悦纳吗？如果你做得不对，罪就蹲在你的门口要控制你，但你必须制服罪。”

愿毁谤者在地上无法立足，愿祸患毁灭残暴之徒。

那里的居民看见毒蛇吊在保罗手上，就交头接耳地说：“这人一定是个凶手，虽然侥幸没有淹死，天理却不容他活下去。”
