No one can become strong and steady by doing evil. But if people do what is right, they can’t be removed from the land.

暴風一過，惡人歸於無有；義人卻有永久的根基。

又要他使基督因着你們的信住在你們心裏，使你們既在愛中生根立基，

他雖積蓄銀子如塵沙，堆積衣服如泥土，他儘管堆積，義人卻要穿上，無辜的人卻要分取銀子。他建造房屋如蟲做窩，又如守望者所搭的棚。

惡人想得壞人的獵物；義人的根結出果實。

他不得富足，財物不得常存，產業在地上也不加增。

你和你的見識也配得稱讚，因為你今日攔阻我親手報仇、流人的血。

照着你們所領受的教導，在他裏面生根建造，信心堅固，充滿着感謝的心。

我曾見愚妄人扎下根，但我忽然詛咒他的住處。他的兒女遠離穩妥之地，在城門口被欺壓，無人搭救。他的莊稼被飢餓的人吃盡了，就是在荊棘裏的也搶去了；他的財寶被陷阱張口吞沒了。

他不放債取利，不受賄賂以害無辜。做這些事的人必永不動搖。

倚靠耶和華的人好像錫安山，安穩坐鎮，永不動搖。眾山怎樣圍繞耶路撒冷，耶和華也照樣圍繞他的百姓，從今時直到永遠。

惡人歡樂的聲音是暫時的，不敬虔人的喜樂不過是轉眼之間。他的尊榮雖達到天上，頭雖頂到雲中，他必永遠滅亡，像自己的糞一樣。看見他的人要說：『他在哪裏呢？』他必如夢飛去，不再尋見；他被趕走，如夜間的異象。親眼見過他的，必不再見他；他自己的地方也不再見到他。
