擾己家者、所得惟風、愚人為慧心者之役、

家道乖者、所得惟風、愚者必役於智。

Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.

Those who bring ruin on their families will receive nothing but wind. And foolish people will serve wise people.

Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.

Those who bring trouble on their families inherit the wind. The fool will be a servant to the wise.

The one who brings ruin on his household will inherit the wind, and a fool will be a slave to someone whose heart is wise.

One who troubles his own house will inherit wind, And the foolish will be servant to the wise hearted.

這是多麼可悲啊！人怎樣來，也要怎樣去，為風勞碌有什麼益處呢？

壞人俯伏在善人面前，惡人俯伏在義人門口。

「為自己的家積蓄不義之財、在高處搭窩躲避災禍的人啊，你們有禍了！你們陰謀毀滅各族，以致自辱己家，自害己命。

他名叫拿八，是迦勒族人，妻子名叫亞比該，既聰慧又漂亮。拿八粗暴兇惡。

雅各責備西緬和利未說：「你們為什麼要給我惹麻煩，使我在當地的迦南人和比利洗人中留下臭名呢？我們人數很少，要是他們聯手來攻擊我們，我們全家必遭滅門之禍。」

他們種的是風，收的是暴風。他們的莊稼長不出穗子，結不出籽粒，就是有收成，也要被外族人吃掉。

貪愛財富，自害己家；厭惡賄賂，安然存活。

約書亞和全體以色列人把謝拉家族的亞干、那些銀子、衣服和金子及其兒女、牛、驢、羊、帳篷和一切所有都帶到亞割谷。約書亞對亞干說：「你為什麼給我們惹禍呢？今天耶和華要降禍給你。」於是，以色列人便拿石頭打死了他和他一切的人畜，將其燒毀。

過了十天，耶和華擊打拿八，他就死了。

所以，請你趕快想個法子，不然主人和他全家恐怕都會大難臨頭。主人是個兇暴的人，沒有人敢跟他說話。」
