Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy— think about such things.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

夫眷顧孤寡於患難間、且自守不為斯世所染者、此則於我父上帝前、為純潔無玷之虔敬也、

義者行正、子孫蒙福、

使耆老節制、莊重、貞正、於信愛忍而無疚焉、

凡我同人、宜學善工、以資所需、免不結實、

爾於外人、當以智而行、光陰是惜、

首要者、宜切心相愛、蓋愛蔽多罪、

我求上帝、俾爾所行無惡、非欲顯我見納、惟欲爾為善、雖視我如見棄者亦可、

又當有善證於外人、免遭誹謗、及魔之機檻、執事亦須莊重、不歧舌、不嗜酒、不黷貨、

俾正爾行以向外人、致無匱乏、○

有為善之稱、曾育子女、館遠人、濯聖徒足、濟苦難、務善工、

以色列之上帝有言、以色列之磐石謂我曰、以義治人、寅畏上帝、而秉權者、

我若能言諸國諸天使之言而無愛、則猶鳴金響鈸、雖能預言、洞悉諸奧諸智、且篤信足以移山、若無愛、則我為烏有、雖罄所有以施濟、又舍身被焚、若無愛、則於我無益、夫愛則寬忍、慈惠、不妒、不誇、不衒、不妄行、不為己、不暴怒、不念惡、不喜非義、而喜真理、悉容、悉信、悉望、悉忍、惟愛無隕、但預言將廢、方言將止、知識亦將無、今我知識未全、預言未全、迨全者至、則未全者廢矣、我為赤子時、所言如赤子、所知如赤子、所思如赤子、既成人、則赤子之事廢矣、今我儕由鏡而觀、茫然也、後則晤面、今我知未全、後必深知、如我之見知然、今所存者三、信也、望也、愛也、其中惟愛為大、

婦女亦須莊重、勿讒謗、當有節制、凡事忠信、

義人之路正直、正直之主、爾平義人之途、

遂遣其徒、同希律黨、就之曰、夫子、我知爾乃誠者、且以誠宣上帝道、亦不徇人、蓋不以貌取人也、

以其操作之果效歸之、願其工作於邑門榮之、

為諸王及一切在位者、俾我儕虔敬莊重、和平安靜以度光陰、

蓋有司非行善者所畏、乃行惡者所畏耳、爾欲弗畏權、惟行善則得其褒、

必循至公、則可生存、得爾上帝耶和華所錫之土、

是以時未至、俱勿擬、待主臨、必彰暗中之隱、發眾心之謀、各由上帝得其褒也、○

我遣一兄弟偕之、乃於福音見譽諸會者、

兄弟乎、我猶有言、宜緣主而樂、書此遺爾、我不憚煩、爾則安固、

惟隱為猶太人者、誠猶太人、受於心之割、乃割也、在性靈不在儀文、其稱譽也、非由人、乃由上帝、

故宜屹立、腰束以誠、胸護以義、

老婦如母、幼女如妹、惟潔是務、

善齊其家、使子女莊重順服、

曰、百夫長哥尼流、義人也、敬畏上帝、為猶太舉國所譽、奉聖使之示、請爾至其家、欲聽爾言、

彼為我儕捐己、贖我出諸不法、且潔其民以為己業、乃熱衷於善行者也、

詐偽之衡、為耶和華所惡、公平之石、為其所悅、

因希律敬畏約翰、知其義且聖、而庇之、聞其言、心多猶豫、而喜聽之、

有亞拿尼亞者、依律敬虔、為居大馬色之猶太人所稱、

其口甚甘、其人全體可愛、耶路撒冷諸女歟、此為我之所愛、我之良朋、

我簡之、使命其子及眷屬、守我之道、秉公行義、致耶和華所言、悉以予之、

耶穌謂之曰、爾於人前自義、然上帝知爾心、蓋人所崇者、上帝所惡也、

有約瑟者、議士也、為人善且義、

耶路撒冷有西面者、其人義且虔、素望以色列之慰者、而聖神偕之、

或榮、或辱、或惡名、或令聞、似偽而真、

掃羅及約拿單、生時相愛相悅、沒時亦弗相離、二人疾於鷹、強於獅、

我女歟、毋懼、舉邑皆知爾乃淑女、爾所言者、我必為爾行之、

淑善之女、為夫首之冠冕、啟羞之女、如夫骨之腐朽、

兄弟乎、當於爾中擇有令名、充於聖神及智者七人、我儕將立之以司斯事、

故當去誑、與人言皆以其誠、蓋我儕互相為肢也、

曰、賢女甚多、惟爾為冠、

孰得賢婦、價愈珍珠、

愛友乎、勿凡靈是信、當驗其靈由上帝否、蓋偽先知多出於世也、

愛友乎、我今以此後書遺爾、俱以勵爾誠心、俾爾記憶、

古人以之而得美稱、

由己言者、求己之榮、惟求遣之者之榮、斯人乃誠、其衷無不義也、

曰、爾曹聽訟不公、偏袒惡人、將至何時乎、

公平之衡、屬耶和華、囊中之石、皆其所製、
