好使你們無可責備、而又天真，在彎曲乖僻的世代中做上帝的兒女、無瑕無疵；你們顯於其中像發光之體在世界裏，

好使你們成為無可指責、純潔無偽的人，在這扭曲、敗壞的世代中，做神毫無瑕疵的兒女；在這世代中，要像星星的光輝一樣照耀在世上。

俾爾純粹無疵為上帝子、無瑕於邪逆之世、顯為燭世之光、

毋間隙、毋駁雜、猶上帝子、處橫逆之境、無疵可議、反光燭於世、

則可純潔無疵、為天主之子、無可指摘、在此邪僻詭異詭異或作乖戾之世、可照耀其中、如燭世之光、

俾成完人、而為天主之孝子、處邪污之世、而能保守清白、明如日月、照耀乾坤；

so that you may become blameless and pure,“ children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky

Then you will be pure and without blame. You will be children of God without fault among sinful and evil people. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.

that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

“ You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden.No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house.In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

so that you may be children of your Father in heaven. For he causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Conduct yourselves honorably among the Gentiles, so that when they slander you as evildoers, they will observe your good works and will glorify God on the day he visits.

His people have acted corruptly toward him; this is their defect— they are not his children but a devious and crooked generation.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD shines over you.

See what great love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children— and we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn’t know him.Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when he appears, we will be like him because we will see him as he is.And everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself just as he is pure.

Therefore, dear friends, while you wait for these things, make every effort to be found without spot or blemish in his sight, at peace.

He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires of your former ignorance.But as the one who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct;for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.If you appeal to the Father who judges impartially according to each one’s work, you are to conduct yourselves in reverence during your time living as strangers.

or stealing, but demonstrating utter faithfulness, so that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in everything.

so that you may approve the things that are superior and may be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High. For he is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.

Proclaim these things; encourage and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

Publicly rebuke those who sin, so that the rest will be afraid.

John was a burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light.

For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.
