行見爾之信德、發為妙果、令人景仰、而翕然歸依基督。

I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ.

我所禱告的，就是要你們的愛心在知識和各樣見識上多而又多，使你們能分別是非，作誠實無過的人，直到基督的日子；並靠着耶穌基督結滿了仁義的果子，叫榮耀稱讚歸與神。

你們若充充足足地有這幾樣，就必使你們在認識我們的主耶穌基督上不至於閒懶不結果子了。

因此，我們自從聽見的日子，也就為你們不住地禱告祈求，願你們在一切屬靈的智慧悟性上，滿心知道神的旨意；

你們這因信蒙神能力保守的人，必能得着所預備、到末世要顯現的救恩。因此，你們是大有喜樂；但如今，在百般的試煉中暫時憂愁，叫你們的信心既被試驗，就比那被火試驗仍然能壞的金子更顯寶貴，可以在耶穌基督顯現的時候得着稱讚、榮耀、尊貴。你們雖然沒有見過他，卻是愛他；如今雖不得看見，卻因信他就有說不出來、滿有榮光的大喜樂；

你們的光也當這樣照在人前，叫他們看見你們的好行為，便將榮耀歸給你們在天上的父。」

我的弟兄們，若有人說自己有信心，卻沒有行為，有甚麼益處呢？這信心能救他嗎？

你們在外邦人中，應當品行端正，叫那些毀謗你們是作惡的，因看見你們的好行為，便在鑒察的日子歸榮耀給神。

並且我們的人要學習正經事業，預備所需用的，免得不結果子。

他心裏的隱情顯露出來，就必將臉伏地，敬拜神，說：「神真是在你們中間了。」

這樣，信心若沒有行為就是死的。

因為辦這供給的事，不但補聖徒的缺乏，而且叫許多人越發感謝神。他們從這供給的事上得了憑據，知道你們承認基督順服他的福音，多多地捐錢給他們和眾人，便將榮耀歸與神。他們也因神極大的恩賜顯在你們心裏，就切切地想念你們，為你們祈禱。

弟兄們，我還有未盡的話：凡是真實的、可敬的、公義的、清潔的、可愛的、有美名的，若有甚麼德行，若有甚麼稱讚，這些事你們都要思念。

因為神並非不公義，竟忘記你們所做的工和你們為他名所顯的愛心，就是先前伺候聖徒，如今還是伺候。

你們作妻子的要順服自己的丈夫；這樣，若有不信從道理的丈夫，他們雖然不聽道，也可以因妻子的品行被感化過來；

存着無虧的良心，叫你們在何事上被毀謗，就在何事上可以叫那誣賴你們在基督裏有好品行的人自覺羞愧。
