行見爾之信德、發為妙果、令人景仰、而翕然歸依基督。

I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ.

我所祷告的，就是要你们的爱心在知识和各样见识上多而又多，使你们能分别是非，作诚实无过的人，直到基督的日子；并靠着耶稣基督结满了仁义的果子，叫荣耀称赞归与神。

你们若充充足足地有这几样，就必使你们在认识我们的主耶稣基督上不至于闲懒不结果子了。

因此，我们自从听见的日子，也就为你们不住地祷告祈求，愿你们在一切属灵的智慧悟性上，满心知道神的旨意；

你们这因信蒙神能力保守的人，必能得着所预备、到末世要显现的救恩。因此，你们是大有喜乐；但如今，在百般的试炼中暂时忧愁，叫你们的信心既被试验，就比那被火试验仍然能坏的金子更显宝贵，可以在耶稣基督显现的时候得着称赞、荣耀、尊贵。你们虽然没有见过他，却是爱他；如今虽不得看见，却因信他就有说不出来、满有荣光的大喜乐；

你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父。”

我的弟兄们，若有人说自己有信心，却没有行为，有什么益处呢？这信心能救他吗？

你们在外邦人中，应当品行端正，叫那些毁谤你们是作恶的，因看见你们的好行为，便在鉴察的日子归荣耀给神。

并且我们的人要学习正经事业，预备所需用的，免得不结果子。

他心里的隐情显露出来，就必将脸伏地，敬拜神，说：“神真是在你们中间了。”

这样，信心若没有行为就是死的。

因为办这供给的事，不但补圣徒的缺乏，而且叫许多人越发感谢神。他们从这供给的事上得了凭据，知道你们承认基督顺服他的福音，多多地捐钱给他们和众人，便将荣耀归与神。他们也因神极大的恩赐显在你们心里，就切切地想念你们，为你们祈祷。

弟兄们，我还有未尽的话：凡是真实的、可敬的、公义的、清洁的、可爱的、有美名的，若有什么德行，若有什么称赞，这些事你们都要思念。

因为神并非不公义，竟忘记你们所做的工和你们为他名所显的爱心，就是先前伺候圣徒，如今还是伺候。

你们作妻子的要顺服自己的丈夫；这样，若有不信从道理的丈夫，他们虽然不听道，也可以因妻子的品行被感化过来；

存着无亏的良心，叫你们在何事上被毁谤，就在何事上可以叫那诬赖你们在基督里有好品行的人自觉羞愧。
