But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day

But some of them couldn’t celebrate the Passover Feast on that day. That’s because they weren’t“ clean.” They had gone near a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day.

And there were certain men who were unclean through touching a dead body, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.

站在會幕門口，在摩西和以利亞撒祭司，以及眾領袖與全會眾面前，說：

摩西對岳父說：「這是因為百姓到我這裏來求問神。

任何人在田野裏摸了被刀殺的，或自然死的，或人的骨頭，或墳墓，就必不潔淨七天。

「摸了任何人死屍的，必不潔淨七天。

「你要吩咐以色列人，把一切患痲瘋的、患漏症的和因屍體而不潔淨的，都送到營外去。

現在，聽我的話，我給你出個主意，願神與你同在。你要代替百姓到神面前，將事件帶到神那裏，

一個潔淨的人要拿牛膝草蘸在這水中，把水彈在帳棚上，和一切器皿以及帳棚內的人身上，又要彈在那摸了骨頭，或摸了被殺的或自然死的，或摸了墳墓的人身上。

他們把耶穌從該亞法那裏押解到總督府。那時是清早。他們自己卻不進總督府，恐怕染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的宴席。

他們隨時審判百姓：難斷的事就送到摩西那裏，各樣小事就由他們自行判決。

以色列婦人的兒子詛咒，褻瀆了聖名。有人把他送到摩西那裏。他的母親名叫示羅密，是但支派底伯利的女兒。

在他一切離俗歸耶和華的日子，不可挨近死屍。即使他的父母或兄弟姊妹死了，他也不可因他們使自己不潔淨，因為他頭上有離俗歸神的記號。

不可挨近任何死屍，即使為了父母也不可玷污自己。

於是，摩西將她們的案件呈到耶和華面前。

發現他撿柴的人把他帶到摩西、亞倫以及全會眾那裏。
