贖罪祭怎樣，贖愆祭也是怎樣，都有一樣的條例，用贖愆祭贖罪的祭司要得這祭物。

我向你陳明我的罪，不隱瞞我的惡。我說：「我要向耶和華承認我的過犯」；你就赦免我的罪惡。（細拉）

他既犯了罪，有了過犯，就要歸還他所搶奪的，或是因欺壓所得的，或是別人寄託他的，或是他所撿到的失物，或是起假誓得來的任何東西，就要全數歸還，另外再加五分之一。在查出他有罪的日子，就要立刻賠還給原主。他要獻羊羣中一隻沒有殘疾的公綿羊，給耶和華為贖愆祭，或照你所估定的價值，給祭司作贖愆祭。祭司要在耶和華面前為他贖罪；他無論做了甚麼事，以致有了罪，都必蒙赦免。」

我們若說自己沒有罪，就是欺騙自己，真理就不在我們裏面了。我們若認自己的罪，神是信實的，是公義的，必要赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們一切的不義。我們若說自己沒有犯過罪，就是把神當作說謊的，他的道就不在我們裏面了。
