神的聖所與偶像有什麼相同呢？要知道，我們是永生神的聖所，正如神所說：「我將要在他們中間居住，在他們中間往來；我將要做他們的神，他們將要做我的子民。」「所以主說：你們要從他們中間出來，要被分別出來；不要碰不潔淨的東西，我就接納你們」，

對那製造分裂的人，在第一次、第二次的警戒以後，就要棄絕他，

你們要謹慎，免得有人虧缺了神的恩典；免得有苦毒的根長起來攪擾你們，使許多人因此被汙穢了；又免得有淫亂的，或像以掃那樣不敬神的。以掃為了一點食物，就把自己長子的名份賣了；

凡是不潔淨的，行可憎和虛假之事的人，絕不能進到城內；唯有名字被記在羔羊生命冊上的才能進去。

我又聽見有大聲音從寶座上傳來，說：「看哪，神的居所在人間，神將要與人一同居住。他們將要做他的子民，神將要親自與他們同在，做他們的神。

弟兄們，我們奉我們主耶穌基督的名吩咐你們，要避開所有過著懶散生活，以及不照著你們從我們領受的傳統而生活的弟兄。

你升上高天，擄掠了俘虜；你在人間，甚至在頑梗的人中，接受了供奉，好使耶和華神與他們同住！

你們應當把那舊的酵母除淨，好使你們成為新的麵團，就像你們是無酵的那樣；因為實際上，我們逾越節的羔羊——基督已經被獻上了。所以讓我們來守這節，不可用舊的酵母，也不可用惡毒、惡意的酵母，而要用真誠、真實的無酵餅。我以前在書信上給你們寫過：不可與淫亂的人交往。我當然不是指這世上淫亂的、或貪心的、或勒索人的、或拜偶像的，否則，你們就必須離開這個世界了。但如今我寫給你們的是：如果有人被稱為弟兄，卻是淫亂的、或貪心的、或拜偶像的、或誹謗人的、或酗酒的、或勒索人的，你們不可與他交往，連與這樣的人一起吃飯都不可。其實審判外面的人，到底與我有什麼關係呢？你們難道不該審判裡面的人嗎？至於外面的人，神會審判他們；而「你們應當把那邪惡的人從你們裡面除去。」

錫安的居民哪，你們當高聲歡呼，因為以色列的聖者在你們當中是至大的！」
