現在基督已經來到，作了美好新約的大祭司，祂進入了那更偉大、更全備、非人手建造、不屬於這個世界的聖幕。祂只進入至聖所一次便完成了永遠的救贖，用的不是山羊和牛犢的血，而是自己的血。

因為我們知道了真理以後，若仍然故意犯罪，就再沒有贖罪祭了，只有可怕的審判和燒滅敵對者的烈火等候我們。人違犯摩西的律法，經兩三個人指證後，尚且被毫不留情地處死，更何況人踐踏上帝的兒子，輕看那使人聖潔的立約之血，又藐視賜人恩典的聖靈？這等人該受多麼重的刑罰啊！我們知道上帝說過：「伸冤在我，我必報應。」祂又說：「主要審判祂的百姓。」

保羅對百夫長和士兵們說：「除非他們留下來，否則你們都活不了！」

但我們都不是退後走向滅亡的人，而是因為有信心而靈魂得救的人。

有些人曾蒙上帝光照，嚐過天賜恩典的滋味，有份於聖靈，嚐過上帝之道的甘美，領悟到永世的權能，卻背棄了真道，讓他們重新悔改是不可能的。因為他們等於把上帝的兒子重新釘在十字架上，使祂再度公開受辱。一塊經常受到雨水滋潤的田地若為耕種的人長出莊稼來，就蒙上帝賜福；若長出來的盡是荊棘和蒺藜，就毫無價值，它會面臨被咒詛的危險，最後必遭焚燒。

他到達後，看見上帝所賜的恩典，就萬分高興，勸勉他們要全心地忠於主。

如果我們將起初的信念堅持到底，便在基督裡有份了。

因此，祂是新約的中保，藉著死亡救贖了觸犯舊約的人，好叫那些蒙召的人得到所應許的永恆基業。凡是遺囑，必須等到立遺囑的人死了以後才能生效。如果立遺囑的人依然健在，遺囑就不能生效。

你們要常在我裡面，我就常在你們裡面。枝子若離開葡萄樹，就不能結果子。同樣，你們若不常在我裡面，也不能結果子。「我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。常在我裡面的，我也常在他裡面，他就會多結果子，因為你們離開了我什麼都不能做。不常在我裡面的人就像丟在外面枯乾的枝子，最後只有被人拾起來丟在火裡燒掉。
