From the Israelites’ half, Moses selected one out of every fifty people and animals, as the Lord commanded him, and gave them to the Levites, who were responsible for the care of the Lord’s tabernacle.

Moses chose one out of every 50 people and animals. He gave them to the Levites. They were accountable for taking care of the Lord’ s holy tent. Moses did just as the Lord had commanded him.

以色列的守望者瞎眼無知，是不會叫的啞巴狗，只喜歡躺下睡覺做夢。這些人就像貪吃的狗，不知飽足，又像什麼都不懂的牧人，人人各行其是，追求自己的利益。

不可在你們的城裡吃十一奉獻的穀物、新酒和油、頭生的牛羊、還願祭、自願獻的祭和舉祭；要在你們的上帝耶和華選定的地方，與兒女、僕婢及同城的利未人一起在耶和華面前吃。要為你們所做的一切，在你們的上帝耶和華面前歡喜快樂。切記，只要你們還住在自己的土地上，就不可忘記利未人。

「我要把以色列人出產的十分之一賜給利未人作產業，作為他們在會幕司職的酬勞。今後以色列人不可走近會幕，以免因犯罪而死。只有利未人可在會幕司職，他們要擔負觸犯聖幕的罪責，這是你們世世代代要遵守的條例。利未人在以色列人中不可有產業，因為我已經把以色列人給耶和華的十分之一出產賜給他們作產業。因此，我吩咐他們不可在以色列人中有產業。」

夜間在耶和華殿中事奉的僕人們啊，你們都要稱頌耶和華。

事後，主揀選了七十個門徒，差遣他們兩個兩個地出去，先到祂將要去的城鎮村莊，並對他們說：「要收割的莊稼很多，工人卻很少，因此你們要祈求莊稼的主人派更多的工人去收割祂的莊稼。「你們去吧！我差你們出去，就像把羊羔送入狼群。錢袋、背包和鞋都不要帶，在路上也不要與人寒暄。無論到哪一戶人家，要先說，『願祝福臨到這家！』如果那裡有配得祝福的人，祝福自然會臨到那人，否則祝福仍歸給你們。不要搬來搬去，要固定住在一家，接受那家的款待，因為工人理應得到工錢。「你們無論到哪一個城鎮，如果人們接待你們，就吃他們擺上的飲食。
