于是，摩西对民众说：“你们男子要拿起兵器去攻打米甸，为耶和华报仇。

摩西諭民曰、當於爾中選人、執器械出徵、攻米甸人、為主徵伐米甸人、

So Moses said to the people,“ Arm some of your men to go to war against the Midianites so that they may carry out the Lord’s vengeance on them.

So Moses said to the people,“ Choose some men, and arm them to fight the Lord’s war of revenge against Midian.

So Moses spoke to the people,“ Equip some of your men for war. They will go against Midian to inflict the LORD’s vengeance on them.

So Moses spoke to the people, saying,“ Arm men from among you for the war, so that they may go against Midian to execute the Lord’s vengeance on Midian.

So Moses spoke to the people, saying,“ Arm some of yourselves for war, and let them go against the Midianites to take vengeance for the Lord on Midian.

So Moses spoke to the people:“ Arm men from among you for the war, to attack the Midianites and to execute the LORD’s vengeance on Midian.

因为你们毁约，我要用战祸报应你们。你们躲进各城的时候，我要在你们中间降下瘟疫，使你们落在敌人手里。

耶和华对耶户说：“你已经做了我视为正的事，照我的意思除掉了亚哈一家，因此你的子孙必做以色列王，直到第四代。”

摩西对约书亚说：“选一些人出去迎战亚玛力人。明天，我会带着上帝的杖站在山顶上。”约书亚便遵照摩西的吩咐迎战亚玛力人，摩西、亚伦和户珥站在山顶上。摩西什么时候举手，以色列人就得胜；他的手什么时候垂下来，亚玛力人就占上风。不久，摩西的手疲倦发软，亚伦和户珥就抬来一块石头让摩西坐下，然后站在他的两边扶着他的手，他就稳稳地举着手，直到日落。这样，约书亚用刀杀败了亚玛力人。

“耶和华的天使说，‘要咒诅米罗斯，要重重地咒诅米罗斯的居民，因为他们没有帮助耶和华，没有帮助耶和华攻击强敌。’

你要杀你主人亚哈的全家，这样我就可以为我的仆人——众先知以及其他仆人报仇，他们被耶洗别杀害。

因为这是主——万军之耶和华向敌人报仇的日子。刀剑必吞噬他们，痛饮他们的血，因为要在北方的幼发拉底河边向主——万军之耶和华献祭。

“以色列的首领身先士卒，民众前仆后继，你们要赞美耶和华！

“亚伦祭司的孙子、以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈消了我对以色列人的怒气。因为在会众中他与我一样痛恨不贞，我才没有在烈怒中消灭他们。

使他和他的后代凭此约可以永远做祭司，因为他为我除掉了不贞之人，为以色列人赎了罪。”

摩西说：“耶和华已经起誓要世代与亚玛力人为敌。”

“从巴比伦逃出来的人在锡安述说我们的上帝耶和华如何报仇，为祂的圣殿报仇。
