and anything else that can withstand fire must be put through the fire, and then it will be clean. But it must also be purified with the water of cleansing. And whatever cannot withstand fire must be put through that water.

must be put through fire. So must everything else that doesn’t burn up. Then those things will be‘ clean.’ But they must also be made pure with the special water. In fact, everything that won’t burn up must be put through that water.

everything that can stand the fire, you shall pass through the fire, and it shall be clean. Nevertheless, it shall also be purified with the water for impurity. And whatever cannot stand the fire, you shall pass through the water.

that is, all metals that do not burn— must be passed through fire in order to be made ceremonially pure. These metal objects must then be further purified with the water of purification. But everything that burns must be purified by the water alone.

一個潔淨的人要收母牛的灰，存放在營外潔淨的地方，為以色列會眾留作除污穢的水之用。這是為除罪用的。

要為這不潔淨的人拿一些燒好的除罪灰放在器皿裏，倒上清水。

各人的工程必將顯露，因為那日子要將它顯明，有火把它暴露出來，這火要試煉各人的工程怎樣。

你要這樣做來潔淨他們：要用潔淨的水彈在他們身上，又叫他們用剃刀剃刮全身，洗淨衣服，潔淨自己。

我要使這三分之一經過火，熬煉他們，如熬煉銀子；試煉他們，如試煉金子。他們要求告我的名，我必應允他們。我說：「這是我的子民。」他們要說：「耶和華是我的上帝。」

你從水中經過，我必與你同在，你渡過江河，水必不漫過你；你在火中行走，也不被燒傷，火焰必不燒着你身。

其中死了的，若掉在任何東西上，這東西就不潔淨，無論是木器、衣服、皮革、麻袋，或是任何工作需用的器皿，都要泡在水中，必不潔淨到晚上，然後才是潔淨的。

我勸你向我買從火中鍛鍊出來的金子，使你富足；又買白衣穿上，使你赤身的羞恥不露出來；又買眼藥抹你的眼睛，使你能看見。

我是用水給你們施洗，叫你們悔改；但那在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是給他提鞋子也不配，他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。

他救了我們，並不是因我們自己所行的義，而是照他的憐憫，藉着重生的洗和聖靈的更新。聖靈就是上帝藉着我們的救主耶穌基督厚厚地澆灌在我們身上的，

這水所預表的洗禮，現在藉着耶穌基督的復活拯救你們，不是除掉肉體的污穢，而是向上帝懇求有無虧的良心。

親愛的，有火一般的考驗臨到你們，不要奇怪，似乎是遭遇非常的事；

萬軍之耶和華說：「你們若不聽，若不放在心上，將榮耀歸給我的名，我就使詛咒臨到你們，使你們的福分變為詛咒；其實我已經詛咒了你們的福分，因你們不把誡命放在心上。看哪，我要斥責你們的後裔，把糞抹在你們臉上，就是你們祭牲的糞。人要把你們和糞一起抬出去，

無論是衣服或皮革，若沾染了精液，要用水洗淨，必不潔淨到晚上。

以水藉着道把教會洗淨，使她成為聖潔，

使你們的信心既被考驗，就比那被火試煉仍然能壞的金子更顯寶貴，可以在耶穌基督顯現的時候得着稱讚、榮耀、尊貴。
