因為會眾在荀曠野反叛我的時候，你們二人沒有按照我的指示取水，沒有在他們面前尊我為聖。」耶和華指的是米利巴泉事件，發生在荀曠野的加低斯。

因为你们在寻的旷野，当会众争闹的时候，违背了我的命，没有在涌水之地、会众眼前尊我为圣。”（这水就是寻的旷野加低斯米利巴水。）

因為在尋的曠野、當會眾吵鬧的時候、你們違背了我所吩咐的，沒有在湧水之地會眾眼前尊我為聖。』（這些水是尋的曠野、加低斯米利巴的水。）

昔在尋野水濱、會眾紛爭、爾曹悖逆我命、不於民前尊我為聖、所言之水、在加低斯米利巴、

昔在汛野、迦鐵境、米利巴水濱、會眾紛爭、爾於斯時悖逆我命、不於民前尊我。

緣昔在汛野會眾紛爭之時、爾曹違背我命、未在水處、當會眾目前崇我為聖、所言之水、即汛野迦叠之米利巴水、

for when the community rebelled at the waters in the Desert of Zin, both of you disobeyed my command to honor me as holy before their eyes.”( These were the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.)

The community refused to obey me at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin. At that time, you and Aaron did not obey my command. You did not honor me in front of them as the holy God.”

because you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin when the congregation quarreled, failing to uphold me as holy at the waters before their eyes.”( These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

for you both rebelled against my instructions in the wilderness of Zin. When the people of Israel rebelled, you failed to demonstrate my holiness to them at the waters.”( These are the waters of Meribah at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

When the community quarreled in the Wilderness of Zin, both of you rebelled against my command to demonstrate my holiness in their sight at the waters.” Those were the Waters of Meribah-kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.

for in the wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to treat Me as holy before their eyes at the water.”( These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

For in the Wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to hallow Me at the waters before their eyes.”( These are the waters of Meribah, at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.)

because ye rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the waters before their eyes.( These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

When the community quarreled in the Wilderness of Zin, both of you rebelled against My command to show My holiness in their sight at the waters.” Those were the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.

For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that[ is] the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

For in the wilderness of Zin when the community rebelled against me, you rebelled against my command to show me as holy before their eyes over the water– the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.”

because in the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.”( These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

摩西稱那地方為瑪撒和米利巴，因為百姓在那裡吵鬧，又試探耶和華，說：「耶和華真的在我們當中嗎？」

因為你們的緣故，耶和華也向我發怒，說，『你也不能進入那片土地，

「你拿著杖和你哥哥亞倫招聚會眾，當著他們的面吩咐磐石流出水來，水就會從磐石流出，供會眾和牲畜喝。」摩西遵命而行，從耶和華面前取了杖，然後和亞倫把會眾招聚到磐石前，說：「你們這些叛逆之徒聽著，非要我們叫磐石給你們流出水來嗎？」接著，摩西舉起手中的杖擊打磐石兩下，水便噴湧而出，會眾和牲畜都喝了。耶和華對摩西和亞倫說：「你們對我沒有足夠的信心，沒有當著以色列人的面尊我為聖，所以你們不得帶領會眾進入我將要賜給他們的土地。」這地方叫米利巴泉，因為以色列人在那裡埋怨耶和華，耶和華就向他們彰顯了祂的聖潔。

「亞倫要去他祖先那裡了，他不能進入我賜給以色列人的土地，因為你們在米利巴泉違背了我的命令。

一月，以色列全體會眾抵達荀曠野，在加低斯安營。米利暗離世，葬在那裡。

因為在荀曠野，在加低斯的米利巴泉旁，你和亞倫對我不忠，沒有在以色列人中尊我為聖。所以，你只能遠遠地觀看我要賜給以色列人的土地，卻不能進去。」

他們在米利巴泉邊惹耶和華發怒，連累了摩西。因為他們惹摩西發怒，以致他說了魯莽的話。
