So on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them and said,

So there on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest issued these instructions to the leaders of Israel:

以色列人继续前行，抵达约旦河东岸的摩押平原，在耶利哥对面安营。

从亚巴琳山启行，至耶利哥对面、约旦河边的摩押平原扎营。

在耶利哥对面、约旦河边的摩押平原，耶和华对摩西说：

以上是摩西和以利亚撒祭司在约旦河边、耶利哥对面的摩押平原统计的人数，

摩西从摩押平原登上尼波山，上到耶利哥对面的毗斯迦山顶。耶和华把整片土地指给他看，从基列一直到但，

耶和华把他安葬在摩押境内伯·毗珥对面的山谷，至今无人知道摩西的坟墓在哪里。

以色列人在摩押平原为摩西致哀三十天，服丧的日子才结束。

当时他们在约旦河以东伯·毗珥对面的山谷，那里原属于希实本的亚摩利王西宏。摩西领以色列人离开埃及后消灭了西宏，占领了他的土地，还占领了巴珊王噩的土地。西宏和噩是约旦河东亚摩利人的两个王，其国土从亚嫩谷边的亚罗珥一直到西云山，即黑门山，包括约旦河东的整个亚拉巴，远至毗斯迦山脚的亚拉巴海。

他们来到耶利哥对面、约旦河边的摩押平原，把战利品交给摩西、以利亚撒祭司和以色列全体会众。
