巴兰便题起诗歌说：“巴勒引我出亚兰，摩押王引我出东山，说：‘来啊，为我咒诅雅各；来啊，怒骂以色列。’

巴兰唱起诗歌说：“巴勒领我出亚兰，摩押王领我出东方的山脉：‘来啊，为我诅咒雅各；来啊，怒骂以色列。’

巴兰吟诗预言说：“巴勒引我出亚兰，摩押王请我出东山，说，‘来为我咒诅雅各，来斥责以色列！’

巴兰就作歌，说：“巴勒把我从亚兰领出来，摩押王引我出东山，说：‘来吧，为我咒骂雅各，来啊，咒骂以色列。’

巴蘭便題起詩歌說：巴勒引我出亞蘭，摩押王引我出東山，說：來啊，為我咒詛雅各；來啊，怒罵以色列。

巴蘭以詩歌預言說：「巴勒引我出亞蘭，摩押王請我出東山，說，『來為我咒詛雅各，斥責以色列！』

巴蘭就作歌，說：“巴勒把我從亞蘭領出來，摩押王引我出東山，說：‘來吧，為我咒罵雅各，來啊，咒罵以色列。’

巴蘭便發表言論歌來、說：『巴勒領導我出亞蘭，摩押王領導我出東山，說：「來啊，為我咒詛雅各，來啊，怒罵以色列吧！」

乃作歌曰、巴勒招我於亞蘭、摩押王導我於東岳、曰來、為我詛雅各、詈以色列、

乃作歌曰、摩押王、厥名巴勒、招我於亞蘭、導我於東岳、使詛雅各、詈以色列。

Then Balaam spoke his message:“ Balak brought me from Aram, the king of Moab from the eastern mountains.‘ Come,’ he said,‘ curse Jacob for me; come, denounce Israel.’

Then Balaam spoke the message he had received from God. He said,“ Balak brought me from the land of Aram. The king of Moab sent for me from the mountains in the east.‘ Come,’ he said.‘ Put a curse on Jacob’s people for me. Come. Speak against Israel.’

And Balaam took up his discourse and said,“ From Aram Balak has brought me, the king of Moab from the eastern mountains:‘ Come, curse Jacob for me, and come, denounce Israel!’

This was the message Balaam delivered:“ Balak summoned me to come from Aram; the king of Moab brought me from the eastern hills.‘ Come,’ he said,‘ curse Jacob for me! Come and announce Israel’s doom.’

Balaam proclaimed his poem: Balak brought me from Aram; the king of Moab, from the eastern mountains:“ Come, put a curse on Jacob for me; come, denounce Israel!”

他派使者往大河附近的毗夺去，到比珥的儿子巴兰的家乡，召巴兰来，说：“看哪，有一群百姓从埃及出来；看哪，他们遮满地面，住在我的对面。现在请你来，为我诅咒这百姓，因为他们比我强大，或许我能打败他们，把他们赶出此地。因为我知道，你为谁祝福，谁就得福；你诅咒谁，谁就受诅咒。”

他唱起诗歌说：“比珥的儿子巴兰说，眼目关闭的人说，

因为你们出埃及的时候，他们没有拿食物和水在路上迎接你们，并且雇了美索不达米亚的毗夺人，比珥的儿子巴兰来诅咒你。

巴兰唱起诗歌说：“巴勒啊，起来，听；西拨的儿子啊，侧耳听我。

巴兰又唱起诗歌说：“哀哉！若神做这事，谁能存活呢？

我要开口说比喻，我要解开古时的谜语，

他就唱起诗歌说：“比珥的儿子巴兰说，眼目关闭的人说，

到那日，必有人为你们唱诗歌，用悲哀的哀歌哀号，说：“我们全然败落，我百姓的产业易主了！耶和华竟然使它离开我，我们的田地为悖逆的人所瓜分了！”

那非利士人又说：“我今日向以色列的军队骂阵。你们叫一个人出来，跟我决斗吧。”

这是要应验先知所说的话：“我要开口说比喻，说出从创世以来所隐藏的事。”

你仆人曾打死狮子和熊，这未受割礼的非利士人必像狮子和熊一样，因为他向永生神的军队骂阵。”

这些人岂不都要提起诗歌和俗语，嘲讽他说：祸哉！你增添不属自己的财物，靠押金发财，要到几时呢？

大卫对非利士人说：“你来攻击我，是靠着刀枪和铜矛，但我来攻击你，是靠着万军之耶和华的名，就是你所辱骂、带领以色列军队的神。

“人子啊，你要向以色列家出谜语，设比喻，

他向以色列骂阵，大卫的哥哥示米亚的儿子约拿单就杀了他。

巴兰看见基尼人，就唱起诗歌说：“你的住处坚固；你的巢窝造在岩石中。

诅咒不会无故临到，正如麻雀掠过，燕子翻飞。

我必使你得极大的尊荣，无论你向我要什么，我都给你。只求你来为我诅咒这百姓。’”

又见雅各听从父母的话往巴旦‧亚兰去了，

闪的儿子是以拦、亚述、亚法撒、路德、亚兰。

以色列人说：“这上来的人你看见了吗？他上来是要向以色列人骂阵。若有人能杀他，王必赏赐他大财，将自己的女儿嫁给他，并在以色列人中免除他父家纳粮服役。”大卫对站在旁边的人说：“若有人杀这非利士人，除掉以色列人的羞辱，他会怎样呢？这未受割礼的非利士人是谁，竟敢向永生神的军队骂阵！”

跟随大卫的三勇士中，其次是亚何亚人朵多的儿子以利亚撒。从前非利士人聚集要打仗，他们向非利士人骂阵。以色列人上去的时候，

你起身往巴旦‧亚兰去，到你外祖父彼土利的家，从你舅父拉班的女儿中娶一位作你的妻子。

‘看哪，从埃及出来的百姓遮满了地面，现在请你来，为我诅咒他们，或许我能打败他们，把他们赶走。’”

他又对他们讲另一个比喻：“天国好比面酵，有妇人拿来放进三斗面里，直到全团都发起来。”

他们看出这比喻是指着他们说的，就想要捉拿他，但是惧怕众人，于是离开他走了。

于是我说：“唉！主耶和华啊，人都指着我说：他不是说比喻的人吗？”
