对米甸的长老说：“现在这众人要把我们四围所有的一概舔尽，就如牛舔尽田间的草一般。”那时西拨的儿子巴勒作摩押王。

摩押对米甸的长老说：“现在这群人要舔尽我们四围的一切，好像牛舔尽田间的草一样。”那时，西拨的儿子巴勒作摩押王。

摩押对米甸的长老说：“现在这群人要舔尽我们四围的一切，好像牛舔尽田间的草一样。”那时，西拨的儿子巴勒作摩押王。

对米甸的长老说：“这群人将吞掉我们周围的一切，如同牛吃光田间的草一样。”那时，西拨的儿子巴勒做摩押王。

摩押人对米甸的长老说：“现在这群人要吞并我们四周的一切，好像牛吞吃田间的草一样。”那时西拨的儿子巴勒，作摩押王；

對米甸的長老說：「這群人將吞掉我們周圍的一切，如同牛吃光田間的草一樣。」那時，西撥的兒子巴勒做摩押王。

摩押人對米甸的長老說：“現在這群人要吞併我們四周的一切，好像牛吞吃田間的草一樣。”那時西撥的兒子巴勒，作摩押王；

摩押人對米甸的長老說：『現在這一集團要把我們四圍所有的一概餂盡、就像牛餂盡田野的青草一般。』那時西撥的兒子巴勒做摩押王；

告米甸長老曰、此眾將吞我四方、如牛嚙田野之草、時、西撥子巴勒為摩押王、

告米田長老曰、此族眾多、並吞四方、如牛嚙草、

摩押人謂米甸諸長老曰、今此眾必以我四圍所有、盡行吞食、如牛之囓盡田間草萊然、當是時、西撥子巴勒為摩押王、

The Moabites said to the elders of Midian,“ This horde is going to lick up everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.” So Balak son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time,

The Moabites spoke to the elders of Midian. They said,“ This huge mob is going to destroy everything around us. They’ll lick it up as an ox licks up all the grass in the fields.” Balak, the son of Zippor, was the king of Moab at that time.

And Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ This horde will now lick up all that is around us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field.” So Balak the son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time,

The king of Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ This mob will devour everything in sight, like an ox devours grass in the field!” So Balak, king of Moab,

So the Moabites said to the elders of Midian,“ This horde will devour everything around us like an ox eats up the green plants in the field.” Since Balak son of Zippor was Moab’s king at that time,

Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ Now this horde will eat up all that is around us, as the ox eats up the grass of the field!” And Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time.

So Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ Now this company will lick up everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.” And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.

And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now will this multitude lick up all that is round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time.

So the Moabites said to the elders of Midian,“ This horde will devour everything around us like an ox eats up the green plants in the field.” Since Balak son of Zippor was Moab’s king at that time,

And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all[ that are] round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor[ was] king of the Moabites at that time.

So the Moabites said to the elders of Midian,“ Now this mass of people will lick up everything around us, as the bull devours the grass of the field. Now Balak son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at this time.

Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ Now this multitude will lick up all that is around us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field.” Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time.

And the name of the Midianite woman who was put to death was Kozbi daughter of Zur, a tribal chief of a Midianite family.The Lord said to Moses,“ Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them.They treated you as enemies when they deceived you in the Peor incident involving their sister Kozbi, the daughter of a Midianite leader, the woman who was killed when the plague came as a result of that incident.” (niv)

Among their victims were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba— the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. (niv)

“ I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel. He will crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the people of Sheth. (niv)

Now Balak son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites, (niv)

Are you any better than Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab? Did he ever quarrel with Israel or fight with them? (niv)

On all the roofs in Moab and in the public squares there is nothing but mourning, for I have broken Moab like a jar that no one wants,” declares the Lord. (niv)

all the towns on the plateau and the entire realm of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled at Heshbon. Moses had defeated him and the Midianite chiefs, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba— princes allied with Sihon— who lived in that country.In addition to those slain in battle, the Israelites had put to the sword Balaam son of Beor, who practiced divination. The elders of Moab and Midian left, taking with them the fee for divination. When they came to Balaam, they told him what Balak had said. (niv)
