“ Aaron will be gathered to his people. He will not enter the land I give the Israelites, because both of you rebelled against my command at the waters of Meribah.

“ Aaron will join the members of his family who have already died. He will not enter the land I am giving to the Israelites. Both of you refused to obey my command. You did it at the waters of Meribah.

之后，你会死在山上，归到你祖先那里，如亚伦在何珥山离世归祖一样。

“你要为以色列人向米甸人报仇，之后你将归到祖先那里。”

看了以后，你就要像你哥哥亚伦一样去祖先那里了。

而你必享长寿，安然离世。

然后和亚伦把会众招聚到磐石前，说：“你们这些叛逆之徒听着，非要我们叫磐石给你们流出水来吗？”接着，摩西举起手中的杖击打磐石两下，水便喷涌而出，会众和牲畜都喝了。耶和华对摩西和亚伦说：“你们对我没有足够的信心，没有当着以色列人的面尊我为圣，所以你们不得带领会众进入我将要赐给他们的土地。”

雅各嘱咐完众子，在床上躺下，咽了气，去他祖先那里了。

那一代人都去世后，新一代不认识耶和华，也不知道耶和华为以色列人所行的事。

年纪老迈，寿终正寝。他的儿子以扫和雅各把他安葬了。

以实玛利活了一百三十七岁，寿终正寝，归到他祖先那里。

雅各又嘱咐他们说：“我要离世了，你们要把我葬在赫人以弗仑田间的洞里，让我与祖先在一起。

你们要把任务分配给革顺的子孙，他们要遵照亚伦父子们的吩咐司职。

我会让你平安入土，你不会看到我要降给这地方及这里居民的一切灾难。’”他们便回去禀告王。
