摩西對亞倫說：『拿那香爐，把祭壇上取的火盛在那裏頭，又放上香，趕快走到會眾那裏，為他們行除罪禮，因為有神的震怒從永恆主面前發出，疫病已經發作了。』

他們必將你的典章指教雅各，將你的律法指教以色列；他們必使燻祭的香氣升到你面前，把全燔祭放在你的祭壇上。永恆主啊，願你賜福與他的資財，悅納他手所作的工；那些起來攻擊他和恨惡他的人、願你擊斷他們的腰，使他們不能再起來。』

但是我告訴你們，要愛你們的仇敵，要為那逼迫你們的禱告。

永恆主雖定意用憂患將他壓傷，但他將本身獻為賠罪祭時，他卻要看到他的後裔，並且延年益壽，而永恆主定的旨意也必在他手中順利地實現，他受了致命苦難以後、必得見光明；他必心滿意足、因知自己無罪，我的僕人必使許多人得稱為無罪；他們的罪罰是他要背負的。故此我必將許多人分給他做業分，他必分得強盛的為擄掠物，因為他將自己傾倒至死；他被數算跟罪犯同列，卻是他擔當了許多人的罪，又為罪犯們代求。
