耶和华对我说：‘你对他们说：不要上去，也不要争战，因我不在你们中间，恐怕你们在仇敌面前被击败。’

神啊，你在古时，我们列祖的日子所做的事，我们亲耳听见了，我们的列祖曾为我们述说。你曾用手赶出外邦人，却栽培了我们的列祖；你苦待万民，却叫我们的列祖发达。因为他们不是靠自己的刀剑承受土地，也不是靠自己的膀臂得胜，而是靠你的右手、你的膀臂，和你脸上的亮光，因为你喜爱他们。神啊，你是我的君王，求你发命令使雅各得胜。靠你，我们要推倒我们的敌人；靠你的名，我们要践踏那兴起攻击我们的人。因为我必不倚靠我的弓，我的刀也不能使我得胜。惟有你拯救我们脱离敌人，使恨我们的人羞愧。我们要常常因神夸耀，要永远颂扬你的名。（细拉）但如今你丢弃了我们，使我们受辱，不和我们的军队同去。你使我们在敌人前转身撤退，使那恨我们的人任意抢夺。你使我们如羊当作食物，把我们分散在列国中。

因此，以色列人在仇敌面前站立不住。他们在仇敌面前转身逃跑，因为他们成了当灭的物。你们若不把当灭的物从你们中间除掉，我就不再与你们同在了。

主啊，求求你，以色列人既在仇敌面前转身逃跑，我还有什么可说的呢？
