All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them,“ If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness!

The Israelites spoke against Moses and Aaron. The whole community said to them,“ We wish we had died in Egypt or even in this desert.

And all the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The whole congregation said to them,“ Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would that we had died in this wilderness!

Their voices rose in a great chorus of protest against Moses and Aaron.“ If only we had died in Egypt, or even here in the wilderness!” they complained.

All the Israelites complained about Moses and Aaron, and the whole community told them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this wilderness!

And all the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron; and the entire congregation said to them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or even if we had died in this wilderness!

And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!

And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would that we had died in this wilderness!

All the Israelites complained about Moses and Aaron, and the whole community told them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this wilderness!

And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

And all the Israelites murmured against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had perished in this wilderness!

All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them,“ We wish that we had died in the land of Egypt, or that we had died in this wilderness!

百姓就向摩西发怨言，说：“我们喝什么呢？”

第二天，以色列全会众都向摩西、亚伦发怨言说：“你们杀了耶和华的百姓了。”

你们无论做什么事，都不要发怨言起争论，好使你们无可指责，诚实无伪，在这弯曲悖谬的世代作神无瑕疵的儿女。你们在这世代中要像明光照耀，

这些人喜出怨言，责怪他人，随从自己的情欲而行，口说夸大的话，为自己的利益谄媚人。

你们也不可发怨言，像他们中有些人曾经发过，就被毁灭者所灭。

百姓在那里口渴要喝水，就向摩西发怨言，说：“你为什么把我们从埃及领出来，使我们和我们的儿女，以及牲畜都渴死呢？”

耶和华啊，现在求你取走我的性命吧！因为我死了比活着更好。”

以色列全会众在旷野向摩西和亚伦发怨言。以色列人对他们说：“我们宁愿在埃及地死在耶和华手中！那时我们坐在肉锅旁，吃饼得饱。你们却将我们领出来，到这旷野，要叫这全会众都饿死啊！”

太阳出来的时候，神安排炎热的东风，太阳曝晒约拿的头，使他发昏，他就为自己求死，说：“我死了比活着更好！”

如果你这样待我，倒不如立刻把我杀了吧！我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你不要让我再受这样的苦。”

百姓发怨言，恶言传达到耶和华的耳中。耶和华听见了就怒气发作，耶和华的火在他们中间焚烧，烧毁营的外围。

“这邪恶的会众向我发怨言要到几时呢？以色列人向我发的怨言，我都听见了。你要告诉他们，耶和华说：‘我指着我的永生起誓，我必照你们在我耳中所说的待你们。你们的尸体必倒在这旷野中。你们中间被数点，凡二十岁以上向我发怨言的，

他们又藐视那美地，不信他的话，

在帐棚内发怨言说：‘耶和华因为恨我们，所以将我们从埃及地领出来，要把我们交在亚摩利人的手中，除灭我们。

甚至我宁可窒息死亡，胜似留我这副骨头。我厌弃生命，不愿永远活着。你任凭我吧，因我的日子都是虚空。

“我为何不出母胎而死？为何不出母腹就气绝呢？

为了他们，他记念自己的约，照他丰盛的慈爱改变心意，

他自己在旷野走了一日的路程，来到一棵罗腾树下，就坐在那里求死，说：“耶和华啊，现在够了！求你取我的性命吧，因为我不比我的祖先好。”
