Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke with him, and he took some of the power of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied— but did not do so again.

於是掃羅派人去捉大衛。派去的人看見一群先知正在受感說話，撒母耳站著帶領他們。那時，神的靈也臨到掃羅的使者身上，他們都受感說話。有人把這事告訴了掃羅，他就再派別的人去，這些人也受感說話。掃羅第三次派人去，他們也受感說話。後來，掃羅也親自到拉瑪去，到了西沽的大井，就問人，說：“撒母耳和大衛在哪裡？”有一個人回答：“在拉瑪的拿約。”掃羅就從那裡往拉瑪的拿約去。神的靈也臨到他身上，他一面走，一面受感說話，直到他到了拉瑪的拿約。他脫掉了自己的衣服，也在撒母耳面前受感說話。那一日，他整天整夜赤著身子躺著，因此有一句俗語說：“掃羅也列在先知中嗎？”

掃羅到了那山，有一班先知迎面而來。神的靈大大感動他，他就在他們中間受感說話。

因為預言不是出於人意的，而是人受聖靈的感動，說出從神而來的話。

各樣美好的賞賜，各樣完備的恩賜，都是從上面、從眾光之父降下來的，他本身並沒有改變，也沒有轉動的影子。

那些耶利哥的先知門徒在遠處看見，就說：“以利亞的靈在以利沙身上了。”他們就來迎接他，俯伏在地拜他。

先知的靈是受先知控制的，

他從雲柱中對他們說話；他們謹守耶和華賜給他們的法度和律例。

“以後，我要把我的靈澆灌所有的人。你們的兒女要說預言，你們的老年人要作異夢，你們的少年人要見異象。在那些日子，我也要把我的靈澆灌僕人和婢女。

他有四個女兒，都是童女，是會說預言的。我們住了幾天之後，有一位先知，名叫亞迦布，從猶太下來。他來見我們，把保羅的腰帶拿過來，綁住自己的手腳，說：“聖靈說，猶太人在耶路撒冷要這樣捆綁這腰帶的主人，把他交在外族人的手裡。”

因為以色列人所有的旅程中，日間有耶和華的雲彩在帳幕上，夜間雲中有火，顯在以色列全家的眼前。

男人禱告或講道的時候，如果蒙著頭，就是羞辱自己的頭。女人禱告或講道的時候，如果不蒙著頭，就是羞辱自己的頭，因為這就好像剃了頭髮一樣。

‘神說：在末後的日子，我要把我的靈澆灌所有的人，你們的兒女要說預言，你們的青年人要見異象，你們的老年人要作異夢。在那些日子，我也要把我的靈澆灌我的僕人和使女，他們就要說預言。

耶利米吩咐巴錄說：“我被阻止，不能進耶和華的殿裡去。所以你要進去，趁禁食的日子，在耶和華的殿裡，向眾人宣讀書卷上的話，就是你從我口中所錄下耶和華的話。你要向從猶大各城來的人宣讀。

然後，你要到神的山去，那裡有非利士人的駐軍。你進城的時候，會遇見一班先知從邱壇上下來。在他們前面有鼓瑟的、打鼓的、吹笛的、彈琴的。他們都受感說話。耶和華的靈必大大感動你，你就要與他們一同受感說話，變成另一個人。

你們要追求愛，也要熱切地渴慕屬靈的恩賜，特別是先知講道的恩賜。原來那說方言的不是對人說，而是對神說，因為沒有人能聽得懂；他是在靈裡講奧祕的事。但那講道的是對人講說，使他們得著造就、安慰和勸勉。

耶和華在雲彩中降下來，與摩西一同站在那裡，並且宣告耶和華的名字。

其中有一個名叫亞迦布的站起來，藉著聖靈指出天下將要有大饑荒；這事在革老丟時期果然發生了。

他說這話的時候，有一片雲彩籠罩他們，他們入了雲彩，門徒就害怕起來。有聲音從雲彩裡出來，說：“這是我的兒子，我所揀選的（“這是我的兒子，我所揀選的”有些抄本作“這是我的愛子”），你們要聽從他！”
