Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Has my arm lost its power? Now you will see whether or not my word comes true!”

耶和华说：“难道我的臂膀能力不够吗？你很快将看见我的话会不会应验。”

耶和华对摩西说：“耶和华的手臂缩短了吗？现在你要看看我的话对你应验不应验。”

永恆主對摩西說：『永恆主的手臂哪裏是短的？現在你要看我的話對你應驗不應驗。』

耶和華曰、耶和華之臂豈短耶、今必見我言之應否、○

耶和華曰、我豈力不足耶、今將見我言之應否。○

主曰、我力豈不足耶、今爾必見我言應否、

The Lord answered Moses,“ Is the Lord’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.”

The Lord answered Moses,“ Am I not strong enough? Now you will see whether what I say will come true for you.”

And the Lord said to Moses,“ Is the Lord’s hand shortened? Now you shall see whether my word will come true for you or not.”

The LORD answered Moses,“ Is the LORD’s arm weak? Now you will see whether or not what I have promised will happen to you.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Is the Lord’s power too little? Now you shall see whether My word will come true for you or not.”

And the Lord said to Moses,“ Has the LORD’s arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not.”

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Is Jehovah’s hand waxed short? now shalt thou see whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

The Lord answered Moses,“ Is the Lord’s power limited? You will see whether or not what I have promised will happen to you.”

And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’S hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

And the LORD said to Moses,“ Is the LORD’s hand shortened? Now you will see whether my word to you will come true or not!”

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Has Yahweh’s hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not.”

Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.

For I am the Lord! If I say it, it will happen. There will be no more delays, you rebels of Israel. I will fulfill my threat of destruction in your own lifetime. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

Why was no one there when I came? Why didn’t anyone answer when I called? Is it because I have no power to rescue? No, that is not the reason! For I can speak to the sea and make it dry up! I can turn rivers into deserts covered with dying fish.

“ I, the Lord, have spoken! The time has come, and I won’t hold back. I will not change my mind, and I will have no pity on you. You will be judged on the basis of all your wicked actions, says the Sovereign Lord.”

God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”

For the word of God will never fail.”

Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

Jesus looked at them intently and said,“ Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

Should you talk that way, O family of Israel? Will the Lord’s Spirit have patience with such behavior? If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting.

Again and again they tested God’s patience and provoked the Holy One of Israel.

The king appointed his officer to control the traffic at the gate, but he was knocked down and trampled to death as the people rushed out. So everything happened exactly as the man of God had predicted when the king came to his house.The man of God had said to the king,“ By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, six quarts of choice flour will cost one piece of silver, and twelve quarts of barley grain will cost one piece of silver.”The king’s officer had replied,“ That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!” And the man of God had said,“ You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to eat any of it!”

Only a small number will escape death and return to Judah from Egypt. Then all those who came to Egypt will find out whose words are true— mine or theirs!“‘ And this is the proof I give you,’ says the Lord,‘ that all I have threatened will happen to you and that I will punish you here.’

The officer assisting the king said to the man of God,“ That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!” But Elisha replied,“ You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to eat any of it!”
