“ Say to the people,‘ Sanctify yourselves in preparation for tomorrow, and you will eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of Yahweh, saying,“ Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.” Therefore Yahweh will give you meat, and you will eat.

又要对百姓说：‘你们应当自洁，预备明天吃肉，因为你们哭号说：谁给我们肉吃！我们在埃及很好。这声音达到了耶和华的耳中，所以他必给你们肉吃。

你要对百姓说：‘你们要为了明天使自己分别为圣，你们将有肉吃。因你们哭着说：谁给我们肉吃呢？我们在埃及多么好！这声音传到了耶和华的耳中，所以他必给你们肉吃。

爾語民曰、自潔為聖、以備明日食肉、蓋耶和華聞爾哭聲云、誰以肉食我、昔在埃及、我儕善矣、故耶和華將賜爾以肉、爾得食之、

告民潔己、明日可食肉、蓋我聞爾哭云、昔在埃及、我儕猶不為苦、今誰予我肉食乎。是故我將賜爾食肉。

亦告民曰、爾當潔己、以待明日、必得肉食、蓋爾號哭云、誰予我肉食、昔我儕在伊及為佳、此言主已聞矣、必賜爾肉食、

“ Tell the people:‘ Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow, when you will eat meat. The Lord heard you when you wailed,“ If only we had meat to eat! We were better off in Egypt!” Now the Lord will give you meat, and you will eat it.

“ Tell the people,‘ Set yourselves apart for tomorrow. At that time you will eat meat. The Lord heard you when you cried out. You said,“ We wish we had meat to eat. We were better off in Egypt.” Now the Lord will give you meat. And you will eat it.

And say to the people,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat, for you have wept in the hearing of the Lord, saying,“ Who will give us meat to eat? For it was better for us in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat.

“ And say to the people,‘ Purify yourselves, for tomorrow you will have meat to eat. You were whining, and the Lord heard you when you cried,“ Oh, for some meat! We were better off in Egypt!” Now the Lord will give you meat, and you will have to eat it.

“ Tell the people: Consecrate yourselves in readiness for tomorrow, and you will eat meat because you wept in the LORD’s hearing,‘ Who will feed us meat? We were better off in Egypt.’ The LORD will give you meat and you will eat.

And you shall say to the people,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of the Lord, saying,“ Oh that someone would give us meat to eat! For we were well off in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat and you shall eat.

Then you shall say to the people,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the hearing of the Lord, saying,“ Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat.

And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to- morrow, and ye shall eat flesh; for ye have wept in the ears of Jehovah, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore Jehovah will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.

“ Tell the people: Purify yourselves in readiness for tomorrow, and you will eat meat because you cried before the Lord:‘ Who will feed us meat? We really had it good in Egypt.’ The Lord will give you meat and you will eat.

And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for[ it was] well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.

“ And say to the people,‘ Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, and you will eat meat, for you have wept in the hearing of the LORD, saying,“ Who will give us meat to eat, for life was good for us in Egypt?” Therefore the LORD will give you meat, and you will eat.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,

The people were complaining in the ears of Yahweh. When Yahweh heard it, his anger burned; and Yahweh’s fire burned among them, and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.

to whom our fathers wouldn’t be obedient, but rejected him, and turned back in their hearts to Egypt,

and the children of Israel said to them,“ We wish that we had died by Yahweh’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate our fill of bread, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”Then Yahweh said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from the sky for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.It shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel,“ At evening, you shall know that Yahweh has brought you out from the land of Egypt.In the morning, you shall see Yahweh’s glory; because he hears your murmurings against Yahweh. Who are we, that you murmur against us?”

He said to the people,“ Be ready by the third day. Don’t have sexual relations with a woman.”

All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them,“ We wish that we had died in the land of Egypt, or that we had died in this wilderness!Why does Yahweh bring us to this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be captured or killed! Wouldn’t it be better for us to return into Egypt?”

The mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly; and the children of Israel also wept again, and said,“ Who will give us meat to eat?We remember the fish, which we ate in Egypt for nothing; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic;but now we have lost our appetite. There is nothing at all except this manna to look at.”

Then Jacob said to his household, and to all who were with him,“ Put away the foreign gods that are among you, purify yourselves, change your garments.

Get up! Sanctify the people, and say,‘ Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, for Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,“ There is a devoted thing among you, Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted thing from among you.”

The people came to Bethel and sat there until evening before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept severely.
