If this is how you are going to treat me, please go ahead and kill me— if I have found favor in your eyes— and do not let me face my own ruin.”

Is this how you are going to treat me? If you are pleased with me, just put me to death right now. Don’t let me live if I have to see myself destroyed anyway.”

And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favor in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.

我企望無愧、平昔諤諤、今而後、或生或死、基督將因我躬丕顯矣、我生為基督、死而獲益、若欲使告生於世、而結果是事、則可、然當何擇、弗顧也、我際兩難之間、甚欲歸、與基督共在為愈美、但在世有裨益於爾、倍加切要、

惟恆忍至極、則全備無缺、

我所大欲、望上帝遂我願焉。願上帝糜爛我體、立舉其手、喪亡我命、若斷機杼。若此我猶可解憂、彼弗加矜憫、則我斯踴矣。蓋至聖之命、我未嘗廢也。

予創傷未痊、殘缺未醫、曷故。爾之待我、若泉之忽竭、使人絕望、曷故。

請爾恕之、不然、則我名錄於爾書者、爾其塗抹。

願棄此微軀而就死地。

我何生於世、受苦罹憂、畢生愧赧、

日出時、上帝使風東來、其氣炎熇日暴約拿之首、使之喪魂求死、曰、寧死不生、上帝謂約拿曰、爾因蓖蔴、怒何烈與。對曰、吾誠怒甚、至於求死。
