今爾若宥其罪、不然、則塗我名於爾册、

甚至我魂寧願氣閉死亡、愈於寄此骸骨、

我何為出胎、受苦罹憂、畢生蒙恥、

日出時、上帝備東風、其氣炎酷、日暴約拿之首、使之昏迷、則求死曰、我之死、猶愈於生焉、上帝謂之曰、爾以蓖蔴而怒、宜乎、對曰、我怒至死、亦宜也、

耶和華已除爾刑罰、去爾仇敵、以色列王耶和華在於爾中、爾不復遘禍矣、
