If this is how you are going to treat me, please go ahead and kill me— if I have found favor in your eyes— and do not let me face my own ruin.”

Is this how you are going to treat me? If you are pleased with me, just put me to death right now. Don’t let me live if I have to see myself destroyed anyway.”

But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper- tree: and he requested for himself that he might die, and said, It is enough; now, O Jehovah, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.But if to live in the flesh,— if this shall bring fruit from my work, then what I shall choose I know not.But I am in a strait betwixt the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better:yet to abide in the flesh is more needful for your sake.

Jehovah hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the King of Israel, even Jehovah, is in the midst of thee; thou shalt not fear evil any more.
