然爾矜憫靡涯、不棄斯民於野、晝仍導以雲、夜仍燭以火、其狀如柱、不論何往、時無間絕。

張法幕之日、有雲蔽之、自夕達旦、雲見如火、無日不然、晝有雲蔽、夜望若火。雲離會幕、以色列族遄征、雲止之所、以色列族張幕。以色列族遄征張幕、俱遵耶和華命、視雲之蓋會幕、而民處其所、如雲蓋會幕、歷日既久、則以色列族、供耶和華役事而不遄征、如雲蓋會幕、為日無幾、以色列族遵耶和華命而張幕、亦遵耶和華命而遄征。自夕達旦、雲止、及至詰朝雲昇、其昇之時、無論晝夜、遄征勿緩。雲止於會幕、或兩日、或一月、或一年、則以色列族居其所而不動、以待雲昇、然後遄征、張幕遄征、俱遵耶和華命、供其役事、遵耶和華所諭摩西之命而行。
