He answered,“ No, I will not go; I am going back to my own land and my own people.”

Hobab answered,“ No. I can’t go. I’m going back to my own land. I’m returning to my own people.”

But Hobab replied,“ No, I will not go. I must return to my own land and family.”

But he replied to him,“ I don’t want to go. Instead, I will go to my own land and my relatives.”

But he said to him,“ I will not come, but rather will go to my own land and relatives.”

And he said to him,“ I will not go, but I will depart to my own land and to my relatives.”

And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.

But he replied to him,“ I don’t want to go. Instead, I will go to my own land and my relatives.”

And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.

But Hobab said to him,“ I will not go, but I will go instead to my own land and to my kindred.”

He said to him,“ I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my relatives.”

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

“ If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.

And she said,“ See, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law.”But Ruth said,“ Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.”

And he answered,‘ I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind and went.

And now you have gone away because you longed greatly for your father’s house, but why did you steal my gods?”

Now the Lord said to Abram,“ Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.

These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.

From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.

Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear: forget your people and your father’s house,
