Finally, as the rear guard for all the units, the divisions of the camp of Dan set out under their standard. Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai was in command.

Finally, the groups of the camp of Dan started out. They marched out under their flag. They followed behind all the other groups and guarded them. Ahiezer was their commander. He was the son of Ammishaddai.

Then the standard of the camp of the people of Dan, acting as the rear guard of all the camps, set out by their companies, and over their company was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

Dan’s troops went last, marching behind their banner and serving as the rear guard for all the tribal camps. Their leader was Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.

On the tenth day Ahiezer son of Amishaddai, leader of the Danites, presented an offering.

Remember what the Amalekites did to you on your way from Egypt,how they met you along the way and cut off all your stragglers in the rear of the march when you were exhausted and tired; they were unafraid of God.

Then your light will shine like the sunrise; your restoration will quickly arrive; your godly behavior will go before you, and the LORD’s splendor will be your rear guard.

“ On the north will be the divisions of the camp of Dan, under their standards. The leader of the people of Dan is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.Those numbered in his division are 62,700.Those who will be camping next to them are the tribe of Asher. The leader of the people of Asher is Pagiel son of Ocran.Those numbered in his division are 41,500.Next will be the tribe of Naphtali. The leader of the people of Naphtali is Ahira son of Enan.Those numbered in his division are 53,400.All those numbered of the camp of Dan are 157,600. They will travel last, under their standards.”

Dan will judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel.May Dan be a snake beside the road, a viper by the path, that bites the heels of the horse so that its rider falls backward.

Yet do not depart quickly or leave in a panic. For the LORD goes before you; the God of Israel is your rear guard.
