以下是摩西在约旦河东的旷野，疏弗对面的亚拉巴，就是在巴兰、陀弗、拉班、哈洗录、底撒哈之间，向以色列众人所说的话。

以色列人出埃及地后第二年二月初一，耶和华在西奈旷野，在会幕中吩咐摩西说：

上帝从提幔而来，圣者从巴兰山临到；（细拉）他的荣光遮蔽诸天，颂赞遍满全地。

从利非订起行，安营在西奈的旷野。从西奈的旷野起行，安营在基博罗‧哈他瓦。

“我们照着耶和华—我们上帝所吩咐的，从何烈山起行，经过你们所看见那一切大而可怕的旷野，往亚摩利人的山区去，到了加低斯‧巴尼亚。

撒母耳死了，以色列众人聚集，为他哀哭，把他葬在拉玛他的家里。大卫动身，下到巴兰的旷野。

以色列人出埃及地以后，第二年正月，耶和华在西奈的旷野吩咐摩西说：

他说：“耶和华从西奈来，从西珥向他们显现，从巴兰山发出光辉；从万万圣者中来临，从他右手向他们发出烈火的律法。

每逢云彩从帐幕升上去，以色列人就起程前行；云彩若不升上去，他们就不起程，直等到云彩升上去。

他们从疏割起程，在旷野边上的以倘安营。
