“ You saw the affliction of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cry at the Red Sea.

「你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

「『你曾看見我們祖先在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

「『你曾看見我們祖先在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

「你看見我們祖先在埃及所受的苦，又聽見他們在紅海邊的呼求，

你看見我們的列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海的哀求，

『你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在蘆葦海邊的哀呼，

我之列祖、受苦於埃及、爾鑒之、哀號於紅海、爾聞之、

我之列祖於埃及、備受艱辛、爾鑒之、在紅海籲呼、爾聞之、

我列祖在伊及受艱苦、主鑒之、在紅海呼籲、主聽之、

“ You saw the suffering of our ancestors in Egypt; you heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw how our people of long ago suffered in Egypt. You heard them cry out to you at the Red Sea.

“ And you saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea,

“ You saw the misery of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cries from beside the Red Sea.

You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

And thou sawest the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red Sea,

You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.

And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red Sea,

When Pharaoh got closer, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians marching after them, and they were terrified. The Israelites cried out to the LORD,and they said to Moses,“ Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the desert? What in the world have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?Isn’t this what we told you in Egypt,‘ Leave us alone so that we can serve the Egyptians, because it is better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!’”Moses said to the people,“ Do not fear! Stand firm and see the salvation of the LORD that he will provide for you today; for the Egyptians that you see today you will never, ever see again.The LORD will fight for you, and you can be still.”

The LORD said,“ I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt. I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.I have come down to deliver them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up from that land to a land that is both good and spacious, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the region of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.And now indeed the cry of the Israelites has come to me, and I have also seen how severely the Egyptians oppress them.

I have certainly seen the suffering of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to rescue them. Now come, I will send you to Egypt.’

God saw the Israelites, and God understood….

“ Go and bring together the elders of Israel and tell them,‘ The LORD, the God of your fathers, appeared to me– the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob– saying,“ I have attended carefully to you and to what has been done to you in Egypt,
