“ You saw the suffering of our ancestors in Egypt; you heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw how our people of long ago suffered in Egypt. You heard them cry out to you at the Red Sea.

“ And you saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea,

“ You saw the misery of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cries from beside the Red Sea.

You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.

And thou sawest the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red Sea,

法老走近的时候，以色列人举目观看，看见埃及人正追赶过来，就非常惧怕，向耶和华呼求。他们对摩西说：“难道埃及没有坟墓，你要把我们带来死在旷野吗？你为什么这样待我们，把我们从埃及领出来呢？我们在埃及的时候，不是对你说过：‘不要管我们，我们要服事埃及人’这话吗？因为服事埃及人比死在旷野还好。”摩西对人民说：“不要惧怕，要站着，观看耶和华今天为你们施行的拯救；因为你们今天看见的埃及人，必永远不再看见了。耶和华必为你们争战，你们必须安静，不要作声。”

耶和华说：“我的子民在埃及所受的痛苦，我实在看见了；他们因受督工的辖制所发的呼声，我也听见了；他们的痛苦，我是知道的。所以我下来，要救他们脱离埃及人的手，领他们脱离那地，到美好宽阔之地，到流奶与蜜之地，就是到迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人的地方。现在以色列人的呼声已经达到我的面前，我也看见了埃及人对他们所施的压迫。

我的子民在埃及所受的痛苦，我实在看见了；他们的叹息我也听见了，我下来是要救他们。你来，我要派你到埃及去。’

神看顾以色列人，也关注他们。

你去召集以色列的长老，对他们说：‘耶和华你们祖宗的神，就是亚伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神，向我显现，说：“我实在眷顾了你们，和鉴察了你们在埃及所遭遇的。”
