So you delivered them into the hands of their enemies, who oppressed them. But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies.

不聽我上帝耶和華之言、不行爾藉爾僕諸先知所示我之法律、以色列全族干犯爾律、轉而離爾、不聽爾言、故上帝僕摩西律中、所載之呪詛誓詞、臨於我躬、以我獲罪於上帝也、彼對我儕、及鞫我之士師所言者、今則成之、而降大災於我、耶路撒冷所遘之災、天下未嘗遭焉、斯災臨我、乃依摩西律中所載、而我猶不求恩於我上帝耶和華、棄離我之罪愆、洞悉爾之真道、故耶和華顧視、而降此災於我、蓋我上帝耶和華所行、無不公義、惟我不聽其言、

以色列人緣米甸故、微弱特甚、乃籲耶和華、既籲耶和華、耶和華遣先知告以色列族曰、以色列之上帝耶和華云、我曾導爾出埃及、脫於奴隸之室、拯爾脫埃及人、暨凡虐爾者之手、驅之於爾前、以其地錫爾、諭爾曰、我乃爾之上帝耶和華、爾居亞摩利人之地、勿寅畏其神、惟爾不聽我言、○

耶和華既為興起士師、則偕之拯民於敵手、至終其世、蓋耶和華見民受人虐迫而哀歎、乃回其意、

耶和華未言必塗以色列之名於天下、乃藉約阿施子耶羅波安救之、

耶和華怒以色列族、付於虜者之手、鬻於四周之敵、使不能禦之、無論何往、耶和華以災禍擊之、如其誓言、民極困苦、耶和華興起士師、拯民於虜者之手、

故耶和華怒以色列人、付之米所波大米王古珊利薩田手、事之八年、以色列人籲耶和華、耶和華為之興起救者、即迦勒弟基納斯子俄陀聶以拯之、耶和華之神臨之、為以色列士師出戰、耶和華以米所波大米王古珊利薩田付於其手、使之獲勝、其地綏安、歷四十年、基納斯子俄陀聶卒、○以色列人又行耶和華所惡、耶和華因此、使摩押王伊磯倫強盛、以攻以色列、遂集亞捫亞瑪力二族、往攻以色列、據椶樹城、以色列人事摩押王伊磯倫、十有八年、以色列人籲耶和華、耶和華為之興起救者、即便雅憫人基拉之子以笏、其人左手較捷、以色列人藉之進貢摩押王伊磯倫、以笏鑄兩刃之劍、長一肘、繫右股衣內、進貢摩押王伊磯倫、其王肥甚、進貢已畢、遣舁者去、以笏至吉甲偶像處而返、告曰、王歟、我有密事奏爾、王曰、肅靜、侍者咸出、王在樓上、獨坐涼室、以笏詣之曰、我奉上帝命、有言告爾、王遂起、以笏伸其左手、拔劍於右股際、以刺王腹、劍柄亦入、其刃為脂所蔽、不拔之出、乃洞穿之、以笏出至廊廡、扃鍵樓門、既出、王僕至、見樓門上鍵、曰、王必在內室更衣、俟久而門不啟、則惶愧、取鑰啟之、見主已死、偃仆於地、遲疑之際、以笏已遁、過偶像處、逃於西伊拉、至則吹角於以法蓮山地、以色列人隨之而下、以笏導之、曰、爾其從我、耶和華以爾敵摩押人付於爾手、眾遂從之、據約但津、不容摩押一人濟、殺摩押人以萬計、皆壯勇之士、無一逃者、當時摩押服於以色列人、其地綏安、歷八十年、

將有救者、上錫安山而鞫以掃山、國則歸於耶和華焉、

耶和華諭摩西曰、爾與列祖偕眠、斯民必於所至之地、狥欲從異族之神、離棄我、背我與立之約、是日我必怒而棄之、掩面不顧、使被吞噬、多遭災禍、時彼必曰、此災臨我、豈非以我上帝不在我中乎、因其轉從他神、行此惡事、我必掩面不顧之、
