「以色列啊，你要聽！你今日要過約旦河，進去佔領比你更強大的列國，那裏的城鎮又大，城牆又堅固，如天一樣高。那裏的百姓是亞衲族人，又高又壯，是你所知道的；你也聽說過：『誰能在亞衲族人面前站立得住呢？』你今日應當知道，耶和華－你的上帝在你前面渡過去，如同吞噬的火，要除滅他們，並要在你面前將他們制伏，使你可以趕出他們，速速消滅他們，正如耶和華向你所說的。

要使這百姓心蒙油脂，耳朵發沉，眼睛昏花；恐怕他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裏明白，回轉過來，就得醫治。」

你以恩惠為年歲的冠冕，你的路徑都滴下油脂，

他們得到餵養，就飽足；既得飽足，就心高氣傲，因而忘記了我。

還是你藐視他豐富的恩慈、寬容、忍耐，不知道他的恩慈是領你悔改嗎？

「耶和華－你的上帝必領你進入美地，那地有河流，有泉源和深淵的水從谷中和山上流出那地有小麥、大麥、葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹，那地也有橄欖油和蜂蜜。那地沒有缺乏，你在那裏有食物吃，一無所缺；那地的石頭是鐵，山中可以挖銅。你吃得飽足，要稱頌耶和華－你的上帝，因為他將那美地賜給你。」

我必以肥油使祭司的心滿足，我的百姓也要因我的恩惠知足。這是耶和華說的。
