They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,

They refused to listen to you. They forgot the miracles you had done among them. So they became stubborn. When they refused to obey you, they appointed a leader for themselves. They wanted to go back to being slaves in Egypt. But you are a God who forgives. You are gracious. You are tender and kind. You are slow to get angry. You are full of love. So you didn’t desert them.

They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them.

又忘記他的作為和他所彰顯的奇事。

主啊，你本為良善，樂於饒恕人，以豐盛的慈愛對待凡求告你的人。

主啊，你是有憐憫，有恩惠的神，不輕易發怒，並有豐盛的慈愛和信實。

他們不追念他手的能力，和他救贖他們脫離敵人的日子；他怎樣在埃及顯神蹟，在瑣安田顯奇事，

惡人當離棄自己的道路，不義的人應除掉自己的意念。歸向耶和華，耶和華就必憐憫他；當歸向我們的神，因為他必廣行赦免。我的意念非同你們的意念，我的道路非同你們的道路。這是耶和華說的。天怎樣高過地，照樣，我的道路高過你們的道路，我的意念高過你們的意念。

很快地，他們就忘了他的作為，不仰望他的指引，

你們要撕裂心腸，不要撕裂衣服。歸向耶和華－你們的神，因為他有恩惠，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，有豐盛的慈愛，並且會改變心意，不降那災難。

他屢次搭救他們，他們卻圖謀悖逆，就因自己的罪孽降為卑下。然而，他聽見他們哀告的時候，就眷顧他們的急難，為了他們，他記念自己的約，照他豐盛的慈愛改變心意，使他們在凡擄掠他們的人面前蒙憐憫。

但他有憐憫，赦免他們的罪孽，沒有滅絕他們，而且屢次撤銷他的怒氣，不發盡他的憤怒。

他們又藐視那美地，不信他的話，在自己帳棚內發怨言，不聽耶和華的聲音。

我們的祖宗在埃及不明白你的奇事，不記念你豐盛的慈愛，反倒在紅海行了悖逆。

『耶和華不輕易發怒，且有豐盛的慈愛。他赦免罪孽和過犯，萬不以有罪的為無罪，必懲罰人的罪，從父到子，直到三、四代。』求你照你的大慈愛赦免這百姓的罪孽，好像你從埃及到如今饒恕這百姓一樣。」

耶和華為甚麼要把我們領到那地，讓我們倒在刀下呢？我們的妻子和孩子必成為擄物。我們回埃及去豈不更好嗎？」他們彼此說：「我們不如選一個領袖，回埃及去吧！」

耶和華有憐憫，有恩惠，不輕易發怒，且有豐盛的慈愛。他不長久責備，也不永遠懷怒。他沒有按我們的罪待我們，也沒有照我們的罪孽報應我們。天離地何等的高，他的慈愛向敬畏他的人也是何等的大！東離西有多遠，他叫我們的過犯離我們也有多遠！父親怎樣憐憫他的兒女，耶和華也怎樣憐憫敬畏他的人！因為他知道我們的本體，思念我們不過是塵土。至於世人，他的年日如草一樣。他興旺如野地的花，經風一吹，就歸無有，它的原處也不再認識它。但耶和華的慈愛歸於敬畏他的人，從亙古到永遠；他的公義也歸於子子孫孫，就是那些遵守他的約、記念他的訓詞而遵行的人。

你根本沒有領我們到流奶與蜜之地，也沒有給我們田地和葡萄園作為產業。難道你想要挖這些人的眼睛嗎？我們不上去！」

有哪一個神明像你，赦免罪孽，饒恕他產業中餘民的罪過？他不永遠懷怒，喜愛施恩。他必轉回憐憫我們，把我們的罪孽踏在腳下。你必將他們一切的罪投於深海。

但在你有赦免之恩，要叫人敬畏你。

雖然你們已經知道這些事，並且在你們已有的真道上得到堅固，我還是要常常提醒你們這些事。我認為趁我還在這帳棚的時候，應該激發你們的記憶，因為知道我脫離這帳棚的時候快到了，正如我們的主耶穌基督所指示我的。我也要盡心竭力，使你們在我去世以後時常記念這些事。

耶和華在他面前經過，宣告：「耶和華，耶和華，有憐憫，有恩惠的神，不輕易發怒，且有豐盛的慈愛和信實，為千代的人存留慈愛，赦免罪孽、過犯和罪惡，萬不以有罪的為無罪，必懲罰人的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代。」

我必住在以色列人中間，並不丟棄我的百姓以色列。」

耶和華對摩西說：「這百姓藐視我要到幾時呢？我在他們中間行了這一切神蹟，他們還不信我要到幾時呢？

耶和華有恩惠，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，大有慈愛。耶和華善待萬有，他的憐憫覆庇他一切所造的。

我們的祖宗不肯聽從，反棄絕他，他們的心轉向埃及，

你們還不明白嗎？不記得那五個餅分給五千人，你們收拾了多少籃子的碎屑嗎？也不記得那七個餅分給四千人，你們又收拾了多少筐子的碎屑嗎？我對你們說『要防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵』，這話不是指着餅說的，你們怎麼不明白呢？」

使他榮耀的恩典得到稱讚；這恩典是他在愛子裏白白賜給我們的。我們藉着這愛子的血得蒙救贖，過犯得以赦免，這是照他豐富的恩典，

摩西說：「你們為何要這樣違背耶和華的指示呢？這事必不能順利。

因他對摩西說：「我要憐憫誰就憐憫誰，要恩待誰就恩待誰。」

你們總要謹慎，不可拒絕那向你們說話的，因為那些拒絕了在地上警戒他們的，尚且不能逃罪，何況我們違背那從天上警戒我們的呢？

因為我呼喚，你們不聽，我招手，無人理會。

願耶和華－我們的神與我們同在，像與我們列祖同在一樣，不撇下我們，不丟棄我們，
