In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

When the people were hungry, you gave them bread from heaven. When they were thirsty, you brought them water out of a rock. You told them to go into the land of Canaan. You told them to take it as their own. It was the land you had promised to give them.

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，我要把粮食从天上降给你们；人民可以出去，每天收取当天的分量，我好试验他们是否遵行我的律法。

露水上升以后，就见野地上有细小鳞状的东西，像小白霜一样细小的东西。以色列人看见了，就彼此对问说：“这是什么？”原来他们不知道那是什么。摩西对他们说：“这就是耶和华赐给你们吃的食物。

他们一求，他就使鹌鹑飞来，并且用天上的粮食使他们饱足。他裂开磐石，水就涌流出来；在干旱之处水流成河。

我在旷野也曾经向他们举手起誓，必不领他们到我赐给他们的流奶与蜜之地，就是万邦中最荣美的地。

他使磐石变为水池，使坚石变为水泉。

我们的祖宗在旷野吃过吗哪，正如经上所记：‘他把从天上来的食物赐给他们吃。’”耶稣对他们说：“我实实在在告诉你们，不是摩西把那从天上来的食物赐给你们，而是我父把天上来的真食物赐给你们；因为神的食物就是从天上降下来，把生命赐给世人的那一位。”他们对耶稣说：“主啊，求你常把这食物赐给我们。”耶稣说：“我就是生命的食物，到我这里来的，必定不饿；信我的，永远不渴。

他使你受苦，任你饥饿，把你和你的列祖不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，使你知道人活着，不是单靠食物，更要靠耶和华口里所出的一切话。

他引导你走过那大而可畏的旷野，那里有火蛇，有蝎子，有干旱无水之地；他曾经为你使水从坚硬的磐石中流出来。他在旷野把你的列祖不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，是要使你受苦，要试炼你，使你终久得到福乐；

你赐下良善的灵教导他们；你没有留住吗哪不给他们吃；你给他们水解渴。

他降吗哪给他们吃，把天上的食物赐给他们。于是人吃了天使的食物，是神赐下的食粮，使他们饱足。

耶和华对摩西说：“你要拿着杖，和你的哥哥亚伦聚集会众，在他们眼前，吩咐磐石出水；这样你就可以使磐石流出水来，给会众和他们的牲畜喝。”于是，摩西照着耶和华吩咐他的，从耶和华面前拿了杖去。摩西和亚伦聚集了会众到磐石面前；摩西对他们说：“悖逆的人哪，你们要听，我们为你们使水从磐石中流出来吗？”摩西举手，用杖击打磐石两次，就有很多水流出来，会众和他们的牲畜都喝了。耶和华对摩西和亚伦说：“因为你们不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我为圣，所以你们必不得领这会众进入我赐给他们的地。”这就是米利巴水，因为以色列人在那里与耶和华争闹，耶和华在他们中间显为圣。

看哪，耶和华你的神已经把这地摆在你面前；你要照着耶和华你列祖的神告诉你的上去，占领那地；不要害怕，也不要惊惶。’

都不得进入我起誓给你们居住的那地；只有耶孚尼的儿子迦勒和嫩的儿子约书亚才可以进去。

“我的仆人摩西死了；现在你要起来，和全体人民过这约旦河，到我现在要赐给他们以色列人的地去。你们脚掌踏过的每一处地方，我都照着我应许摩西的赐给你们了。从旷野和这黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼发拉底河，赫人的全地，以至大海日落的地方，就是你们的疆界。

你曾用你的膀臂救赎你的子民，就是雅各和约瑟的子孙。（细拉）神啊！众水看见你，众水看见你就惧怕，深渊也都战抖。密云倾降雨水，天空发出响声，你的箭闪射四方。你的雷声在旋风中响起来，闪电照亮了世界，大地战抖震动。你的道路经过海洋，你的路径穿过大水，但你的脚踪无人知道。你曾藉着摩西和亚伦的手，带领你的子民如同带领羊群一样。
