In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

When the people were hungry, you gave them bread from heaven. When they were thirsty, you brought them water out of a rock. You told them to go into the land of Canaan. You told them to take it as their own. It was the land you had promised to give them.

耶和华对摩西说：“我要从天上降下食物给你们。百姓可以每天出去拾取他们当天所需的分量，这样我就可以试验他们是否遵行我的训诲。

露水蒸发以后，旷野便出现一层薄薄的、像白霜的东西。以色列人见了，不知道是何物，便彼此议论说：“这是什么？”摩西对他们说：“这就是耶和华给你们的食物。

他们祈求，祂就赐下鹌鹑，降下天粮，叫他们饱足。祂使磐石裂开、涌出水来，在干旱之地奔流成河。

我在旷野曾向他们发誓，不带他们进入我赐给他们的那奶蜜之乡，那世上最佳美的地方，

因为祂使磐石变成水池，使岩石涌出泉水。

我们的祖先在旷野有吗哪吃，正如圣经上说，‘祂赐下天粮给他们吃。’”耶稣却说：“我实实在在地告诉你们，不是摩西从天上赐给了你们粮食，而是我父将天上的真粮食赐给你们。因为上帝赐的粮就是从天降下、赐生命给世人的那位。”他们说：“先生，求你把这种粮食天天赐给我们吧。”耶稣说：“我就是生命的粮，到我这里来的人必定不饿，信我的人必永远不渴。

祂让你们忍饥挨饿，然后赐给你们祖祖辈辈从未见过的吗哪吃，为了使你们明白人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠祂口中的每一句话。

带领你们走过干旱、可怕、毒蛇和蝎子出没的大旷野。祂使坚硬的磐石流出水来给你们喝，在旷野中把你们祖先从未见过的吗哪赐给你们吃，为要磨炼你们、考验你们，使你们最终得到益处。

你差遣你良善的灵去教导他们，没有停止赐他们吗哪吃，也没有停止赐他们水喝。

降下吗哪给他们吃，赐下天粮。他们吃了天使的食物，上帝赐给他们丰富的食物。

耶和华对摩西说：“你拿着杖和你哥哥亚伦招聚会众，当着他们的面吩咐磐石流出水来，水就会从磐石流出，供会众和牲畜喝。”摩西遵命而行，从耶和华面前取了杖，然后和亚伦把会众招聚到磐石前，说：“你们这些叛逆之徒听着，非要我们叫磐石给你们流出水来吗？”接着，摩西举起手中的杖击打磐石两下，水便喷涌而出，会众和牲畜都喝了。耶和华对摩西和亚伦说：“你们对我没有足够的信心，没有当着以色列人的面尊我为圣，所以你们不得带领会众进入我将要赐给他们的土地。”这地方叫米利巴泉，因为以色列人在那里埋怨耶和华，耶和华就向他们彰显了祂的圣洁。

看啊，你们祖先的上帝耶和华已把那片土地赐给你们，你们要照着祂的应许去占领那里，不要惧怕，不要气馁。’

除耶孚尼的儿子迦勒和嫩的儿子约书亚之外，你们无人能进入我起誓应许的那片土地。

“我的仆人摩西已经死了，现在你和全体以色列人要准备渡过约旦河，到我要赐给你们的地方去。我已把你们脚掌将踏之地都赐给了你们，正如我对摩西的应许。从南部的旷野直到北部的黎巴嫩，从东部的幼发拉底大河直到西部的地中海，包括赫人居住的全境，都将是你们的领土。

你以大能救赎了你的子民，就是雅各和约瑟的后代。（细拉）上帝啊，海水看见你就战栗，深渊看见你就颤抖。云层倒出雨水，天上雷霆霹雳，电光四射。旋风中传来你的雷声，你的闪电照亮世界，大地颤抖震动。你的道路穿越海洋，经过洪涛，但你的足迹无人看见。你借着摩西和亚伦的手引领你的子民，如同牧人引领羊群。
