On the second day of the month, the heads of all the families, along with the priests and the Levites, gathered around Ezra the teacher to give attention to the words of the Law.

可是众人看见他们离开了，并且有许多人认出他们，就从各城镇一起徒步赶往那里，而且比他们先到了。耶稣下了船，看见一大群人，就对他们动了怜悯之心，因为他们像羊没有牧人那样。耶稣就开始教导他们很多事。

而主的奴仆不应该争斗；相反，要温和地对待所有的人，善于教导，忍受恶待，温柔地管教那些反对的人；或许神会赐给这些人悔改的心，到真理的知识当中。

喜爱管教的，就是喜爱知识；恨恶责备的，却是愚拙。

耶稣天天在圣殿里教导人。祭司长们、经文士们和民间的首领们想要杀害他，可是他们不知道怎样下手，因为民众都倾心听他。
