我及我子、與同宗何異、奚以我之子女、為人服役、我有數女為人所玷、欲拯無能、我之田園、為人所據。

Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our fellow Jews and though our children are as good as theirs, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but we are powerless, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others.”

We belong to the same family lines as the rest of our people. Our children are as good as theirs. But we’ve had to sell them off as slaves. Some of our daughters have already been made slaves. But we can’t do anything about it. That’s because our fields and vineyards now belong to others.”

Now our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our children are as their children. Yet we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but it is not in our power to help it, for other men have our fields and our vineyards.”

We belong to the same family as those who are wealthy, and our children are just like theirs. Yet we must sell our children into slavery just to get enough money to live. We have already sold some of our daughters, and we are helpless to do anything about it, for our fields and vineyards are already mortgaged to others.”

We and our children are just like our countrymen and their children, yet we are subjecting our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters are already enslaved, but we are powerless because our fields and vineyards belong to others.”

And now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our children like their children. Yet behold, we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters are forced into bondage already, and we are helpless because our fields and vineyards belong to others.”

Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children; and indeed we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have been brought into slavery. It is not in our power to redeem them, for other men have our lands and vineyards.”

Some of our daughters have been subjected to slavery, while we are powerless to help, since our fields and vineyards now belong to other people.”

Behold, we bring our sons and our daughters into bondage to be servants, and some of our daughters have been brought into bondage. 有一先知弟子之妻、向以利沙呼曰、爾之僕我夫已死、彼素畏主、乃爾所知、今有債主至、欲取我二子為奴、

若爾族中人貧乏、鬻己於爾、毋役之如奴、彼於爾家、當待之如傭人、如寄居者、彼服役於爾、當及禧年、禧年既屆、彼與子女、必離爾家、歸本族、及祖父之業、蓋凡以色列人皆為我僕、乃我導之出伊及者、不得鬻為奴、毋役之過嚴、當敬畏爾天主、

分餅於饑者、納流離之貧民於己家、見裸者則衣之、勿掩面不顧爾之骨肉、

彼乃我弟、我之骨肉、勿害其命、莫若鬻於以實瑪利人、兄弟允之、

拉班謂之曰、爾誠為我骨肉之親、遂偕居一月、

今有律例、當傳於民、或作爾當設於民之律例如是若購希伯來人為奴、可事爾六年、至七年、可無贖銀、釋而自主、若孑身而來、則孑身而去、若有妻、則妻偕之去、若主人賜之以妻、生子女、則妻與子歸主人、其奴孑身以去、若奴言、我愛我主人與妻子、不欲去而自主、則主人當攜之至士師前、導至於門、或於門柱、以錐貫其耳、彼則永事主人焉、○人若鬻女為婢、則毋若奴一例而釋、主人選定之後、若不悅之、則當容之自贖、既欺之不可鬻於他族、若為子選定、則當待之如女、倘別有所娶、則待此女之衣食與好合之事、仍不可間斷、設待之間斷此三者、則可不償贖銀而去、○

既無可償、其主人命將其身與妻與子及凡所有、俱鬻之以償、

所愛之兄弟、聽之哉、天主豈非選此世之貧者、俾富於信、而嗣天主所許愛己者之國乎、爾竟辱貧人、富者非欺壓爾、曳爾至公庭乎、
