who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other,

The people continued to build the wall. The people who carried supplies did their work with one hand. They held a weapon in the other hand.

who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were loaded in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and held his weapon with the other.

因為大門為我敞開了，工作很有成效，不過反對我的人也很多。

你要作基督耶穌的精兵與我同受苦難。

如果別人有權要求你們供應他們，我們豈不更有權嗎？可是我們從來沒有用過這權利，反而凡事忍耐，免得妨礙了基督的福音。

那美好的仗，我打過了；當跑的路，我跑完了；所信的道，我持守住了。

你們要警醒，在信仰上堅定不移，做勇敢剛強的人。

毫不懼怕敵人的恐嚇。這清楚表明他們必滅亡，你們必得救，這是出於上帝。

真理之道、上帝的大能、左右手中的公義兵器，

要穿戴上帝所賜的全副軍裝，以便能夠抵擋魔鬼的陰謀。因為我們爭戰的對象不是這世上的血肉之軀，而是在這黑暗世界執政的、掌權的、管轄的和天上屬靈的邪惡勢力。因此，你們要用上帝所賜的全副軍裝裝備自己，好在邪惡的時代抵擋仇敵，到爭戰結束後依舊昂首挺立。務要站穩，用真理當作帶子束腰，以公義當作護心鏡遮胸，把和平的福音當作鞋子穿在腳上準備行動。此外，還要拿起信心的盾牌，好滅盡惡者一切的火箭。要戴上救恩的頭盔，緊握聖靈的寶劍——上帝的話。要靠著聖靈隨時多方禱告和祈求，警醒不怠地為眾聖徒禱告。也請你們為我禱告，求上帝賜我口才，讓我勇敢地把福音的奧祕講解明白。我為傳福音成了披枷帶鎖的使者。請你們為我禱告，使我能盡忠職守，放膽傳福音。

你要知道，也要明白，從重建耶路撒冷的命令發出，到受膏的君王來臨，其間有七個七加六十二個七。耶路撒冷城及其廣場和壕溝必得重建，且是在艱難時期。
