Then I commanded the Levites to purify themselves and go and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember me for this also, my God, and show mercy to me according to your great love.

I commanded the Levites to make themselves pure. Then I told them to go and guard the gates. I wanted the Sabbath day to be kept holy. You are my God. Remember me because of the good things I’ve done. Be kind to me according to your great love.

Then I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love.

Then I commanded the Levites to purify themselves and to guard the gates in order to preserve the holiness of the Sabbath. Remember this good deed also, O my God! Have compassion on me according to your great and unfailing love.

And I ordered the Levites that they were to purify themselves and come as gatekeepers to sanctify the Sabbath day. For this also remember me, my God, and have compassion on me according to the greatness of Your mercy.

And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should go and guard the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of Your mercy!

And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember unto me, O my God, this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy lovingkindness.

Then I directed the Levites to purify themselves and come and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. For this please remember me, O my God, and have pity on me in keeping with your great love.

I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember to me, my God, this also, and spare me according to the greatness of your loving kindness.

祭司和利未人就潔淨自己，也潔淨眾民、和城門城牆。

希西家王和眾首領又吩咐利未人要用大衛和見異象者亞薩的詩詞讚美永恆主；他們就歡歡喜喜地讚美，俯伏敬拜。

惡人要離棄自己的路；奸惡之輩要棄掉自己的意圖，回轉來歸永恆主，讓永恆主憐憫他，來歸我們的上帝，因為上帝廣行赦免。

『哦，永恆主啊，求你記得：我怎樣以純全的心忠忠誠誠在你面前往來，又怎樣行你所看為善的事。』禱告完了，希西家就大哭一場。

永恆主啊，聽我的禱告哦！側耳聽我的懇求哦！憑你的可信可靠應我吧！憑你的義氣答我吧！不要跟你僕人對訊哦！因為眾生在你面前沒有一個是義的。

主永恆主啊，你若究察罪孽，誰能站得住呢，主啊？但在你那裏有赦免之恩，為要使你受人敬畏。

以色列啊，你要仰望永恆主；因為在永恆主那裏有堅固的愛，在他那裏有豐盛的贖救；

永恆主啊，懷念着大衛哦！懷念他所受的一切辛苦；他怎樣向永恆主起了誓，向雅各的大能者許了願，說：『我必不進我家的屋子，不上我床的鋪蓋；我必不容我的眼睡覺，不容我的眼皮打盹，直等到我為永恆主覓得地方，為雅各的大能者找到幕所。』

永恆主啊，記起你的憐憫和堅愛哦；因為這是亙古以來就有的。我幼年的罪求你不要記得。我惟獨求你按你的堅愛來記起我：永恆主啊，為了你的慈惠記起我吧！

列王必做你的養父，他們的王后必做你的奶媽；他們必將臉伏地，向你下拜，餂你腳上的塵土；你便知道我乃是永恆主，等候我的必不至於失望。』

上帝啊，按你堅固之愛恩待我！按你豐盛的慈悲塗抹我的過犯哦！

王吩咐大祭司希勒家和副祭司跟把守門檻的、將那為巴力和亞舍拉女神跟天上萬象所造的器皿、都從永恆主殿堂裏搬出來，在耶路撒冷外頭汲淪谿谷的田園裏燒了，把灰燼拿到伯特利去。

至於我呢、我必憑你堅愛之豐盛進入你的殿；我必存敬畏你的心向你的聖殿堂敬拜。

這三家人在他們的族譜中尋查自己的世系，卻尋不着，故此他們被算為不潔而不得作祭司；省長大人便告訴他們不可喫至聖之物，要等到有能用烏陵土明來決疑的祭司立起來。

我的上帝啊，求你記得我，記得我為這人民所行的一切事，而賜福與我。

這美好的競鬥、我已經奮力鬥勝過了；這跑程我已經跑盡了；這信約我已經守住了。此後就有正義之華冠為我保留着，就是主、公義的審判者、在那日要賞報我的，不但賞給我，也賞給一切愛慕他顯現的人。

祭司便宰了羊，將血獻在祭壇上作為解罪祭，為以色列眾人除罪；因為王吩咐要為以色列眾人獻上燔祭和解罪祭。

希西家吩咐要在祭壇上將燔祭獻上。燔祭一開始獻上，頌讚永恆主的詩歌也開始唱起來；隨有號筒，並有以色列王大衛的各種樂器伴奏着。

我們所誇耀的是這一點：我們良知的明證指出我們在世界上之起居為人、是怎樣本着上帝所賜的聖善和純潔，不是本着屬肉體的智慧，乃是本着上帝的恩；對於你們、更是如此。

對他們說：『你們是利未人父系的首長；你們和你們的族弟兄都應當潔淨自己為聖，好將以色列之上帝、永恆主的櫃、接上來到我所給豫備的地方。因為你們先前沒有這樣作過；永恆主我們的上帝便突擊了我們，因為我們沒有按規矩尋問他。』於是祭司和利未人就潔淨自己為聖，好將以色列之上帝、永恆主的櫃、接上來。

他將祭司和利未人召來，叫他們聚集在東城的廣場，對他們說：『利未人哪，你們要聽我說；現在你們要潔淨自己為聖，也使永恆主你們列祖之上帝的殿潔淨為聖，從聖所中把污穢之物拿出來。
