all these now join their fellow Israelites the nobles, and bind themselves with a curse and an oath to follow the Law of God given through Moses the servant of God and to obey carefully all the commands, regulations and decrees of the Lord our Lord.

眾曰、我儕將反之、不敢取利、必遵爾言以行、我遂召祭司至、令眾發誓、必循其言而行、我遂拂胸邊衣襟曰、凡不循此言而行者、天主亦必如此拂之、使離家宅產業、使之空匱、毫無所有、會眾曰、阿們、又頌讚主、斯後民從其言、

以我神賦爾、使爾從我律例、守我法度而行之、

爾遵行我所命爾者、即為我友、

及旦、有猶太人共謀、誓曰、不殺保羅、必不飲食、同誓者、有四十餘人、就祭司諸長與長老曰、我儕已誓、不殺保羅、必不食、今請爾曹與公會告千夫長、明日提之至爾前、言欲詳察其情、於未至時、我預備以殺之、

有數人從之信道、中有亞畧巴古審官名丟尼修、及一婦名大瑪利、又有數人偕之、

耶和華我主歟、主之威名宣揚在地、主之榮耀顯現在天、

主必矜恤雅各、復選以色列、使仍居故土、異族之人附之、聯於雅各族、

摩西豈不以律法授爾乎、但爾曹中無人守律法、何為欲殺我、

既至、見天主之恩甚喜、乃勸眾堅心從主、

凡不求主以色列之天主者、無論大小男女、必治之死、遂大聲歡呼、吹箛吹角、於主前立誓、

故主爾之天主所命爾者、爾當謹守遵行、不偏於左、不偏於右、

爾曹當記憶我僕摩西所傳之律法、即昔在何烈、我命彼傳於以色列民眾之律例法度、

爾勿從之、蓋有四十餘人、謀欲害保羅、曾誓不殺保羅、不飲食、今已預備、惟候爾允矣、

緣欲其遵奉主之律例、謹守主之法度、阿勒盧亞、

愛當無偽、惡惡親善、

摩西召以色列眾告之曰、我今所傳於爾之律例法度、爾當聽之、學習謹守而遵行、

爾當告之曰、主如是云、我屢屢原文作每晨遣我僕眾先知警教爾、至今爾不聽從、如仍不聽其言、不遵我所設於爾前之法、

匠人手所作石鑿金鑄之偶像、主所憎惡、有隱製而立者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、不敬父母者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、私移地界侵佔鄰里田畝者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、使瞽誤道途者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、屈斷客旅孤寡詞訟者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、與父之繼室苟合辱及父者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、與獸行淫者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、與同父異母或異父同母之姊妹苟合者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、與妻之母苟合者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、陰擊人者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、受賄以害無辜者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、不遵此律法諸言而行者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、

主以色列之天主歟、曾許主之僕我父大衛曰、爾之子孫、若能謹慎己道、遵行我之律法、如爾行於我前、則爾之後嗣、必於我前坐以色列國位、永遠不絕、今求主踐其言、

欲爾遵主爾天主之約、即今日主發誓與爾所立者、或作欲爾遵主爾之天主今日與爾所立之約及所立之誓主今日立爾為己民、己為爾之天主、循其所許於爾、亦循其所誓於爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各、此約此誓我不第與爾曹立、

我斥責之、咒詛之、撻其數人、拔其髮、使之指天主而誓、必不以女嫁異邦人、不娶其女為妻、為媳、

耶戶不盡心遵守主以色列天主之律法、昔耶羅波安犯罪、使以色列人陷於罪、耶戶不離其罪、

耶和華我主之威名、在普天下宣揚、

蓋律法授自摩西、恩寵及真理則由耶穌基督而至、

摩西以律法傳於我儕、為雅各會眾之恆業、
