They said to me,“ Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.”

He and the men with him said to me,“ Some of the people who returned are still alive. They are back in the land of Judah. But they are having a hard time. They are ashamed. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down. Its gates have been burned with fire.”

And they said to me,“ The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire.”

They said to me,“ Things are not going well for those who returned to the province of Judah. They are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem has been torn down, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.”

They said to me,“ The remnant in the province, who survived the exile, are in great trouble and disgrace. Jerusalem’s wall has been broken down, and its gates have been burned.”

And they said to me,“ The remnant there in the province who survived the captivity are in great distress and disgrace, and the wall of Jerusalem is broken down and its gates have been burned with fire.”

And they said to me,“ The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.”

And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

They said to me,“ The remnant in the province, who survived the exile, are in great trouble and disgrace. Jerusalem’s wall has been broken down, and its gates have been burned down.”

And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province[ are] in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also[ is] broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

They said to me,“ The remnant that remains from the exile there in the province are experiencing considerable adversity and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem lies breached, and its gates have been burned down!”

They said to me,“ The remnant who are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.”

今謂之曰、耶路撒冷荒蕪、其門被燬、處此苦境、爾所目擊、我儕其來、重築耶路撒冷、勿復受辱、

從侍衛長之迦勒底軍、毀耶路撒冷四周城垣、

奏王曰、願王萬歲、我之故邑、祖墓所在、歷久荒墟、邑門焚燬、焉得無憂色、

夤夜由谷門出、至龍井、及糞場門、見耶路撒冷城垣傾圮、邑門焚燬、

猶大州人、為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒所虜者、今自俘囚、返耶路撒冷及猶大、各居其邑、

願王知之、我往猶大州、詣至大上帝之室、見其建以巨石、置材木於牆垣、工作殷勤、其事順遂、

使我如備食之羊、散於列邦兮、鬻爾民無所得、其值不增爾財兮、使我為辱於鄰國、四周之人譏刺姍笑兮、為異邦之話柄、眾民搖首兮、

我於鄰國為辱、四周之人譏笑兮、

我必於所賜之地、拒絕以色列族、棄此為我名區別為聖之室、而不之顧、使以色列族、於列國之中、作諺語、為話柄、

從侍衛長之迦勒底軍、毀耶路撒冷四周城垣、

爾以斯土賜我列祖、俾食其果、及其嘉物、我於其中、為人僕隸、因我之罪、爾使列王轄我、彼得豐盛物產於斯土、操權於我躬、及我牲畜、任意而為、我之艱苦甚鉅、

在巴比倫河濱、我儕追念郇邑、坐而哭泣兮、其間有柳、懸琴其上兮、虜我者令我歌、刦我者命我樂、曰為我謳郇歌兮、

緣以爾手所為、激我震怒、在所往居之埃及地、焚香於他神、致爾見絕、在天下萬國中、成為可詛可辱、爾祖之惡、及猶大王與后之惡、爾與爾妻之惡、即在猶大地、與耶路撒冷街衢所行者、爾忘之乎、彼眾至今、猶不自卑、不畏我所示爾及爾祖之律例典章、而遵行之、故萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝曰、我必注目於爾、而加以禍、翦滅猶大眾、猶大遺民、定厥趨向、往居埃及地者、我必取而殲之、彼必仆於埃及地、亡於鋒刃饑饉、自尊逮卑、悉滅於鋒刃饑饉、成為可憎可駭、可詛可辱、

爾登其垣而毀之、惟勿盡毀、可除其枝、蓋非屬耶和華也、

故我必辱聖所之長、使雅各受詛、以色列被謗焉、

亞哈隨魯為王、統轄百有二十七州、自印度至古實、

以色列族、祭司利未人、尼提甯人、與所羅門僕之裔、咸居猶大諸邑、各有其業、居耶路撒冷之州長、其名如左、

萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝曰、昔我傾怒洩忿於耶路撒冷居民、爾入埃及時、我亦必如是傾怒於爾、致爾成為可憎可駭、可詛可辱、不得復睹斯土、

猶大州人、為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒虜至巴比倫者、今自俘囚、返耶路撒冷及猶大、各歸其邑、

爾安逸之婦歟、起聽我聲、爾無慮之女歟、傾聽我言、歷有年餘、無慮之婦、必將驚擾、因葡萄無所獲、穀實無可收、安逸之婦、爾其戰慄、無慮之女、爾其驚擾、解衣裸體、腰束以麻、將因嘉美之田疇、繁實之葡萄、而椎厥胸、我民之田、歡娛之邑、喜樂之第、徧生荊棘蒺藜、宮闕荒涼、邑眾離散、山莊戍樓、永為窟穴、野驢悅其地、羣畜牧其間、

迦勒底人火焚王宮民室、毀耶路撒冷城垣、

我必付之於敵、播散於天下萬國、俾遭禍害、在我驅至之處、受凌辱、為話柄、被訕笑、服呪詛、

耶和華歟、彼謗瀆謀害我、爾已聞之兮、

爾之聖邑、盡成荒野、錫安荒蕪、耶路撒冷邱墟、我儕聖而且美之室、我祖頌爾之處、經火焚燬、我之樂土、悉變荒蕪、

且以鋒刃饑饉疫癘逐之、播散於天下萬邦、在我驅其所至之國、受人呪詛、令人駭異、而被嗤笑侮辱、

今我示爾、我葡萄園、何以處之、我必撤其籬、俾見吞噬、毀其垣、俾遭蹂躪、

耶路撒冷遘難受迫時、追念疇昔之樂境兮、彼之居民陷於敵手、援助無人兮、厥敵見之、笑其荒寂兮、

耶和華歟、憶我所遭、鑒我之辱兮、
