我夜間觀看，看見有一個人騎著紅馬，站在低窪地上的番石榴樹中間；在他後面還有些紅色、栗色和白色的馬。

那從以東、從波斯拉而來，身穿赤紅色的衣服，裝扮華麗、能力強大、大步前行的，是誰呢？“就是我，是憑著公義說話，有大能拯救的。”你的服裝為甚麼有紅色的呢？你的衣服為甚麼像個踹壓酒池的人的衣服一樣呢？“我獨自踹酒槽；萬民之中沒有一人與我同在；我在忿怒中把他們踹下，在烈怒中把他們踐踏；他們的血濺在我的衣服上，我把我所有的衣裳都染污了。

連松樹和黎巴嫩的香柏樹都因你歡樂，說：‘自從你躺下以後，再沒有砍伐的人上來砍伐我們了。’

就另有一匹紅馬出來，騎在馬上的得了權柄，可以從地上奪去和平，使人互相殘殺，又有一把大刀賜給他。
