大地悲哀衰残，黎巴嫩羞愧且枯干，沙仑好像旷野，巴珊和迦密必凋残。

你的斥责一发，水就奔逃；你的雷声一发，水就奔流。

沧海看见就奔逃，约旦河也倒流。

使海与深渊的水干涸，在海的深处开路，使救赎的民走过的，不是你吗？

我对深渊说：‘干了吧！我要使你的江河干涸’；

我来的时候，为何没有人呢？我呼唤的时候，为何无人回应呢？我的膀臂岂是过短、不能救赎吗？我岂无拯救之力吗？看哪，我一斥责，海就干了；我使江河变为旷野，其中的鱼因无水腥臭，干渴而死。我使诸天以黑暗为衣，以麻布为遮盖。”

耶稣说：“你们这些小信的人哪，为什么胆怯呢？”于是他起来，斥责风和海，风和海就大大平静了。

沧海啊，你为何奔逃？约旦哪，你为何倒流？

他说：“耶和华必从锡安吼叫，从耶路撒冷出声；牧人的草场哀伤，迦密的山顶枯干。”

你曾分裂泉源和溪流；使长流的江河枯干。

当抬耶和华全地之主约柜的祭司，脚掌踏入约旦河水里的时候，约旦河的水，就是从上往下流的水，必然中断，竖立成垒。”百姓起行离开帐棚过约旦河的时候，抬约柜的祭司在百姓的前面。那时正是收割的日子，约旦河的水涨满两岸。抬约柜的人到了约旦河，抬约柜的祭司脚一入水边，

海水枯竭，河流干涸，江河发臭，埃及的河水必然减少而枯干。芦苇和芦荻枯萎，尼罗河旁的植物，在尼罗河的沿岸，并尼罗河旁所种的一切全都枯焦，被风吹去，归于无有。打鱼的哀哭，所有在尼罗河钓鱼的都必悲伤，在水上撒网的也都衰残。以细致的麻编织的必羞愧，织布的必变苍白；织布的心情沮丧，所有的佣工心都愁烦。

那造昴星和参星，使死荫变为晨光，使白昼变为黑夜，召唤海水、使其倾倒在地面上的，耶和华是他的名。

说：‘你只可到这里，不可越过；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。’

我要使江河干涸，将这地卖在恶人手中；我要藉外国人的手，使这地和其中所充满的变为荒芜；这是我—耶和华说的。
